Strange goings on in this fillies group 3. Barnavara had been ruled a non runner from about 215 onwards on the Racing Post and on the William Hill site (may have also been the case on others).
Weird then that a few minutes before the off she’s been backed into 9/4 from 6/1 and finishes third. Will Hill radio commented briefly beforehand that for some reason she was down as a NR but nothing came to light other than that she was literally just heading into the stalls to run.
I tried to contact William Hill to find out what happened but so far they have intentionally disregarded the question and given a complete non answer.
I can’t recall this happening before (probably has) but either way it’s a head scratcher that needs at least an explanation.
