As he is currently on the sidelines is anyone else looking for some value incase Tiger roll doesn’t make this , I’ve played the following
Teafortwo
Urgent de gregaine
I believe teafortwo was making ground when falling last year , no way would he have won but i theink he,s e.w value , course form invaluable so that explains the 2nd pick , what’s everyone’s thoughts
November 24, 2019 at 18:41 #1475814It’s going to be difficult deserting Tiger Roll here, but with his setback, and his restrictive price, I just can’t justify taking the “perm” route I took last year.
Yanworth is the obvious one, but the market seems conscious of a potentially absent Tiger Roll, and he’s short enough right now, for all he has the perfect profile.
The horse he just got the better of in the Risk of Thunder, Neverushacon, is an old favourite of mine, and though he’s never screamed Cheltenham winner to me, it was a big run from him, and he’s not out of this. Just a bit underpriced right now.
The one who I reckon is completely overpriced is Movewithetimes. If judged on his past form, and on the race he was running at Galway, then considering who he’s with now, then 33’s is unreal.
The main horse on my mind though, and he’s one I put up last year, is Edwulf. He’s another who’s been with Enda Bolger, and won a point recently. He ticks every box for me, and if even a hint that he was going here, then I’d be all over him.
He’d be my main hope right now, but no doubt if Tiger comes here close to 100%, then he wins it.
No bet yet, but this pair way overpriced…..
Edwulf 16’s
Movewithetimes 33’sNovember 24, 2019 at 19:28 #1475819One horse I can’t have is Yanworth , bolger has worked miracles in the past but you,d need to see him run to know there,s a horse there , edwulf is a good shout , to be honest it really wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t see tiger again …no risks will be taken
November 24, 2019 at 21:43 #1475821Urgent de gregaine is rock solid and off level weights has every chance (if no tiger roll)
He should be second fav not yanworth
November 25, 2019 at 14:51 #1475867He Didn’t Like Ground, Yanworth ran and won at Punchestown two weekends ago.
November 27, 2019 at 22:38 #1476006How was he ? , doesn’t read like he was particularly impressive ? , saying that a win is a win
November 27, 2019 at 23:05 #1476008I haven’t rushed out and backed him off the back of it, but I thought he was ok, and considering it was his first go, there was plenty to build on.
December 13, 2019 at 15:29 #1477202Easysland 6-1.
Will be a hot favourite if Tiger Roll dont make it so worth an each way shout at this stage.
January 24, 2020 at 14:12 #1480692JP has bought Easysland.
January 26, 2020 at 16:12 #1480925I’m not convinced at all that he’ll go here, even more so with JP having bought Easysland, but I threw a few quid the way of Edwulf up to 28’s on the exchange, and a bit more on NRNB
I’ll still be cheering Tiger though.
January 26, 2020 at 22:41 #1480955That was disappointing today from Edwulf, no doubt about it.
Obviously questionable that he was ever going to come here, so I might try and get out of the exchange bet, and run with the NRNB instead.
February 3, 2020 at 13:07 #1481853Tiger roll on course for the boyne hurdle according to Gordon elliot on sky sports racing
Said he is behind where he was last season and it will basically be a racecourse gallop to prep for this
February 9, 2020 at 18:29 #1482517Just read that Henderson is thinking of running Might Bite in this race!
February 9, 2020 at 19:47 #1482521Henderson is thinking of running Might Bite in this race!
Smacks of desperation and will probably balls the horse up even more. Trying to teach a horse to jump XC fences at speed in a month is a recipe for disaster, particularly in one whose jumping at present is high, awkward and completely unsuited to the XC course. Why do some trainers think this race is quick rehab for the disaffected and the declining? It’s not fair on the horses and it’s disrespectful to the race. The likes of Yanworth is a different story- a horse introduced to the discipline by the master and brought along steadily over the course of a year. Might Bite? What a nonsense.
February 9, 2020 at 19:58 #1482523Yeah, it’s bonkers.
A horse finishing his races tamely – step him up by 5 furlongs.
March 3, 2020 at 00:40 #1484462After making the difficult decision not to bet Tiger Roll, and getting out of jail with Edwulf, I was going to just sit this out, and cheer on Tiger, but had a go on Neverushacon.
Been a favourite of mine for a while, and he’s been good to me, so I have to have a few quid on him.
16’s looks fair to me, so that’ll do for me, but I’ll still be cheering on Tiger.
Neverushacon 16’s NRNB
March 10, 2020 at 23:23 #1485372Adding a bit more here on Neverushacon, at the four places EW, and also because he’s a bigger price than my Antepost bet.
Seems strange not betting Tiger, but I’m fling perms tomorrow for the specific reason of including him.
I don’t often say things like this, but just come home safe boy.
