A lot of people are surprised when they hear that doctors and scientists are speaking out about the Covid story we’re being told
In case you’re in any kind of doubt, here’s a list of some Professionals (Doctors and Scientists) who Have Questioned The Official Narrative. I would recommend looking up any of these on their own websites, or brand new tube.

I have/had a cricket book by Vernon Coleman – Winsdens Cricket Alamanack – a spoof of Wisden. I think it was quite funny. May have to try and find this today whilst it rains all day and Ascot is off.

Obviously there are going to be professionals who don’t agree with the governmemt/WHO scientists just as there is for global warming.

There are also relatively intelligent but obviously insane professionals who think the Earth is flat.

I don’t think that all those learned people can be insane. Maybe some want to make money out of their views, books etc? Not saying that I agree with them either, just putting it out there that they have their videos removed from Youtube.

Something is not right with the way this Covid bug is being dealt with. So many people’s lives ruined and businesses trashed and people with serious health issues having to get to the back of the queue with devastating consequences. All this for a bug that has no affect on most folk. A tiny percentage die and they are generally on the way out anyway wtyh other health issues.

Boris and his advisors seem to be coming up with some crazy restrictions as well, and backed up with mention of the military on the streets if we don’t behave. Something stinks big time imo.

Don’t think I’ve got the will or particular inclination to wade through the opinions of all those named; but I’m all for not disregarding alternative thought simply because it’s tangential or contrarian to received wisdom, providing those who espouse these alternatives have bona fide credentials, be that medical, scientific, economic or behavioural

What I’ve no time for whatsoever is the quackery and conspiracy theories – given far too much media attention – from the likes of Piers Corbyn and David Icke, and the impressionable easily-led lemmings who turn up at demonstrations organised by them and their ilk. I don’t use ‘social media’ but if I did I’m sure I’d give all the bizarre ballyhoo on those platforms the same short shrift

I’ve come round, more-or-less, to believing that the only way to ‘live with this virus’ will be to permit the much-maligned ‘herd immunity’ approach to run its course, as it seems clear that to those in good health under the age of circa 60 the virus presents no more of a threat than influenza

So let the majority resume a near-normal life, whilst we oldsters and those with underlying health problems continue to take precautions

As an aside regarding regular hand washing: personally I’ve long done this anyway, particularly when out and about amongst dirty Joe Public. Perhaps this is why I very rarely get coughs and colds

    My opinion: all is opinion

I think it is unfortunate that Piers Corbyn and David Icke have got involved. It makes it far too easy for the Covid fanatics to portray anyone who expresses concern with the official approach as some kind of crank.

I have no time for the deniers and conspiracy theorists either. My concern has always been about the undoubted social, emotional and economic damage that is being done.

All for a virus that has killed 0.06% of the population, who had a mean age of 82 and 95% had one or more serious pre-existing health condition.

I read last night that the health authorities in Ireland wanted the whole country to be raised from Covid level 2 to level 5. This would have effectively meant another full lockdown and a suspension of all sport, including racing. It would not have been permitted even behind closed doors.

The Irish government has not acted on this advice, at least not yet. It has placed the whole country on level 3 (counties Dublin and Donegal were already on that level). Racing can continue but owners, only recently allowed back on the racecourse, can no longer attend.

If infections keep on rising, there has to be a possibility there will be another lockdown in Ireland. It could be terrible for the jumps season.

The use of masks is strongly enforced in Ireland. If they are so important in stopping the spread of the virus, why are infections going up?

Just had it. Waiting eternally for test result but aching a little 10 days ago and slightly sleepy. Nhs originally said no test because not right symptoms. Over the slight aches and then lost taste smell on tues

Obv that’s it but luckily those senses are already coming back. Most have to wait a few weeks

I’m through it now and god knows where I got it but finding lots of people I know reckoned they had it early days now but never tested. The Nhs symptoms identification has been poor

No longer have to isolate too

It was less severe than a minor cold. I’m 60 but pretty fit on lots of cycling and hardly drink. One guy I know, who drinks socially a little too much (IMO) is still feeling it all three weeks after he had it. Been complaining about going home early from dinner parties and the pub to which the obvious question is….

Good to hear you’re on the mend, clivexx. Think cycling is the best exercise when it comes to keeping the immune system young. Unfortunately my bike riding is as good as my horse riding; no sense of balance whatsoever so I’m a gonner if I catch it. Extreme tiredness and headaches seem to be the main symptoms but don’t seem to be recognised in the NHS Symptoms guide; or they weren’t last time I looked. My daughter had a positive antibody test a while back. She reckons she must have had it early in the year. I avoid pubs like the plague but seriously miss going to the gym and the cinema. It’ll be a long time before I consider going to either of them.
