My fingers are firmly crossed about the possibility over Smith but those rumours were a while back but the club have kept their promise with White so things are looking hopeful.
oh and Mr Smith already does love Taunton if 2005 is anything to go by.

January 9, 2010 at 22:44 #269058To be honest, I think I’d love Taunton and I’ve only got two shots (the same ones that Collingwood has!)
January 11, 2010 at 22:31 #269377More movement with Leicestershire signing Brad Hodge for 20/20 matches only.

January 13, 2010 at 16:36 #269654Lancashire have signed Ashwell Prince as early season cover for Sangakkara.
Somerset look like they mean business in the twenty/20 and have boosted their ranks with the signing of West Indian Kieron Pollard(3rd overseas signing for Somerset)Chief Executive Richard Gould sounds excited at the prospect and i quote " with the strength of our batting, people may have to start wearing hard hats in Taunton town centre.!"

January 13, 2010 at 21:28 #269727Great signing, that. And remember, if you’re asking for an autograph, it’s ‘Kai-ron’.
January 17, 2010 at 22:05 #270537A few of the English players that are up for auction for this years IPL, best to keep an eye on things as could be important when choosing who to bet on for most county runs and wickets as i think if selected will miss a few games.
Graeme Swann, Jonathan Trott, Eoin Morgan, Mark Ramprakash, Robert Key, Monty Panesar, Antony McGrath and Tim Bresnan.
I hope Panesar doesn’t make the cut as i have plans for him to take the most wickets in Division 2 if the price is right.

January 18, 2010 at 22:22 #270733All players bought at this IPL auction will have to serve out a one year contract which includes this years Champions League.
That could become a bit of a bummer when Somerset win the twenty/20 as Kieron Pollard will no doubt be playing for one of these IPL sides. (must remember will not be supporting any IPL team who sign Pollard, Kartik)

January 20, 2010 at 17:33 #271123Eoin Morgan was the only English player brought at the ipl auction so Monty Panesar is still an option for me to consider for the division 2 championship leading wicket taker.

Hampshire’s Michael Lumb has also landed a IPL deal with Rajasthan as non-internationals can be signed outside the live auction.
Sussex have signed Dwayne Smith for the Twenty/20 subject to a work permit.

January 20, 2010 at 17:36 #271125Nearly forgot, we do not want the Team Mumbai to qualify for the Champions League as they secured the signature of Kieron Pollard.

January 24, 2010 at 10:35 #271774Kabir Ali has become a Hampshire player, rumour has it either he had a phobia of water or was scared that Andrew Hughes was going to buy a season ticket and he didn’t fancy reading about himself on Andrews blog.

January 29, 2010 at 16:15 #272724More activity.
South African Neil Mckenzie has joined Hampshire as a kolpak.
Chris Tremlett has moved to Surrey, any thoughts on that one Clivex?
Kent have signed Sri Lankan Malinga Bandara as an Overseas player for the 2nd half of the season.
I will make a list of the squads in the near future.
