In what way at all would Shirocco be inconvenienced by good ground anyway. He was fourth in the Arc and won a Breeders Cup on said going. Granted he handles soft better than the majority of his rivals today but if he’s beat today it won’t be because of the ground.

The times would indicate there’s definately a bit of juice in the ground.

Ouija Board to turn over the favourite.

Decided the fact that there is still plenty of cut in the ground I’m having no bet in this. If Ouija Board wins I’m heading for the nearest canal. Pockets already filled with led just in case. ;)

I’ve laid off my bet on Ouija Board and taken 1.92 on Shirocco. i think it will make all and I can’t see OB being able to accelerate on the ground.

Jim McGrath terribkle commentary. ‘Here comes the filly.’ She must be the only 5-y-o filly in training. ‘Running the race of her life.’ Would love to hear the Aussie tee-totaller explain the proximity of Enforcer if that is the case.

Thank **** for that lol. I thought Ouija Board was going to pick Shirocco up but thankfully for my sanity I think conditions just favoured the French horse a bit more and he kept finding a bit.

<br>Agreed. I’ve never liked Aussie Jim as a commentator anyway, I think he’s awful. Nothing like Ouija Board’s "race of her life"

Al least I got it right in the end. Shirocco was just too good for Ouija Borad.

Good race by OB but just not good enough in the end.

Both the front 2 surely below their best, for all the third has put up a career-best effort. But he was beaten further by the winner at Newmarket.

Again agreed. It was a funny race pace wise which probably explains why the front two almost certainly didn’t run up to their peak. As expected though they finished one – two, I’d’ve been shocked at any other result.
