August 11, 2014 at 18:05 #488036Nathan, does the NAP horse have to be sired by a CURRENT Coolmore stallion?
For example, would Hawk Wing, Night Shift or Duke Of Marmalade count – or do they have to be on the current roster?
Great competition as always by the way and great generosity from Coolmore to donate a good prize.
August 11, 2014 at 19:31 #488045I’ll ask Cormack to confirm the rules TYF as it’s his competition, I’m just doing the donkey work……..

August 11, 2014 at 19:42 #488048As long as they have stood at Coolmore and have sired the NAP selection at Coolmore they are allowed.
Does anyone have a list perhaps of all Coolmore stallions past and present? Might come in handy.

August 12, 2014 at 15:12 #488097Great list – thanks TYF. And many thanks to Nathan for agreeing to help run this.
Yes, I can confirm Coolmore have generously sponsored and will provide a Coolmore branded cap and jacket for the winner.
Good luck all.
August 15, 2014 at 20:33 #488298I wonder what percentage of the fields in the top races at York will be by coolmore stallions. 7 of the 14 in the voltigeur and 7 of the11 in the juddmonte are by cool more sires. That’s 14 out of 25 in two races. Amazing the influence they have yet they don’t have a top class son of Galileo on the roster. No pressure on Australia next week although young Joseph was suggesting he might need the run in the juddmonte. Pull the other one young man.

It’ll be a caviar sandwich and a half gallon of Grand Cru for me on Thursday as I’m being forced into my M&S suit with carnation buttonhole and arm candy for
A Day At The Races
in the County Stand tomorrow and I’m under strict instructions to enjoy myself and engage in vacuous conversation, so as the whole experience is costing me the best part of sweet f a I’ll do my best

I may attempt to throw a sickie at some point and emigrate to the nether regions of Tatts or perhaps a saddling box in the pre-parade ring

Enjoy the meeting all
A light-to-moderate north/north westerly at present so likely to be a headwind in the straight

You’ve had too many photos already Nat
we folk who’re high on the autism/asperger’s spectrum (please note correct usage of the apostrophes) do not like being crowded and are not at ease advertising ourselvesI love you Nathan, but I hope I never meet you – fantasy is better than fact

August 22, 2014 at 06:57 #488857Didn’t see your post until the evening Nat, which was probably for the best as the wee bit of ‘history’ Big Mack and I have may have resulted in a black exchange – pudding for him and eye for me had our paths crossed

If you were there Cormack I hope you had a good day; it was cold but the sun shone a bit and the racing was fine though not as fine as when the meeting was three days
