Won’t face more than four, maybe five horses and I can see him go off at 1/4 or even less. He was a best-priced 2/7 with the Wathnan horse the 2nd fav. If that one doesn’t go, he’ll be even shorter…. much shorter.
When I left the UK in 2000 , it was a win or three runs and a horse got a mark , when did that change , or is my memory wonky .
Used to be Luca Cumani plan , three runs up north then win decent summer handicap , more often than not at Goodwood then the horse turns out Group class .The rules on getting a handicap mark and how that is different depending on the type of race and the actual rating allocated get more complex by the year. Perfect execution too win by just under three lengths. A lot of happy bookies out there tonight as the boosts have all failed to fire.
