I think Cheikeljack might have gone better had it been very soft, he just didn’t have the toe on this ground.

A better show from Washington DC than sometimes this year but Quiet Reflection had every right to be favourite for this.

I felt Donjuan Triumphant was a big disappointment. He had a run under his belt this time and was 3lbs better off with today’s winner from their previous meeting. He looked a good enough bet to at least place today but it wasn’t ever on the cards. The Racing Post had him running 18 lbs below his rating today.

La Rioja ran better and not that far behind her best today. I wouldn’t rule her out once the Candy team hit form again. Perhaps by Glorious Goodwood time they me be in better form.

Log Out Island clearly has two ways of running. An astonishing blitz from the front last time but an absolute stinker today.

Not a bridle job by any means but Quiet Reflection always looked like prevailing once she started her run.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
