It’s not surprising Ides Of March is now shorter than “first string” Whistlejacket. Suspect Ryan would want to swap considering the results on the straight course yesterday (DRAW).

    I’ve backed those drawn in 15, 18, 19, 20 and 22 Ides Of March of 21 runners (the one drawn 21 a non-runner)…

Just hope they haven’t watered (deliberately) unevenly.

I liked the look of Whistlejacket last year so will stick with him.

I have a feeling if you’ve got a high draw but you aren’t away quick it might not be a good thing today. If they all tack over that side anyway you’re going to end up behind a wall of horses with nowhere to go

First three in the Albany drawn 1, 3 and 4.
Was that due to them avoiding the (faster) stand rail?
Or did they go too quick on the stand side?
Or have they watered the stand side more than the centre?
Or some / all of the above?

They didn’t stay stand side they drifted over finishing up the middle.

I know the first was a two year old race and probably the worse we have seen all week but the time was over standard, where as yesterday every race ran was under standard

    We will soon find out

That race needs to be scrapped. It’s a poor race

It was in danger of being downgraded prior to this season. Have to give the season a chance to see how the form works out I suppose.

25, 28, 20 and 66-1 fills the first four. These Group 1 sprints unless you have an outstanding horse are guessing games.

There hasn’t really been an outstanding sprinter probably since Baataash retired but even he was very hit and miss

RTB- most definitely, as i said on page 1, its hard too put much logic on these group 1 sprints, if they ran it again in 10 minutes and everything was fresh and the draw shuffled, the 1-2-3-4 could very well be 18-19-20-21st, you couldnt have backed the winner with free money, how he went off at 25/1 is also horrendous, the overround on itv was 140% again, should have been ATLEAST double that price

watch Whistlejackets run would not be surprised if he picks up one of these later in year, but i cant get the horse right, so good debate on this thread regarding status of race
