Shadow Of Light 8-1 ew for now. Not see out the 2000G and come here? Wouldn’t be the first horse to go down that route.

I think the way Shadow of Light battled to win a soft ground Dewhurst from an unfavourable draw suggests he’ll get the mile, and go very close to winning the Guineas.
Not sure which potential non stayer to propose instead at this early stage, however, although Rashabar might fit the bill.

Not a bad shout, nw, but on a line of form with Comanche Brave I’m inclined to wait and see if the latter fails to stay the mile in the Irish 2000…

Buick deserts Shadow Of Light in the 2000 Guineas. Doubting his stamina?

yeah Oscar can see where you are coming from.

Mike he did say it was a hard choice and maybe the run under the belt swayed (I dont know) him?

It is strange to desert a Dewhurst winner

    Appleby on Buick’s decision…

“He won impressively at Meydan and is guaranteed to get the mile here, which came into William’s thinking as he chose which one to ride. Shadow Of Light has done very well from two to three and has definitely come forward since his racecourse gallop. He continues to show the natural pace he displayed as a juvenile, which means there’s always going to be a question mark about getting a mile.”

Even before the Guineas I thought he had the stature of a sprinter.

The more I know the less I understand.

    He gets a mile, just.
If they are now looking to step up Ruling Court in trip then they can still win a group 1 mile with him, especially with Buick on board.
He’s fast but not necessarily a sprinter.

With Field Of Gold winning impressively today, I feel a bit more confident that ‘the Shadow’ comes here.
