I agree Cork, would certainly be a bit of a leap of faith bet, I just feel the drift out to 8/1 is an overreaction.
May 6, 2023 at 17:06 #1646835I backed Little Big Bear for this last year as insurance against him not staying, but I drew zero encouragement from what I just watched.
He’d actually won on Yielding to Soft ground in Ireland and another contest over 6f110yds and he should have showed up a lot better than he did.
He’s gone out like a light and finished stone cold last.
Noble Style and Sakheer have shown up a lot better in adverse conditions for a suspect stayer.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"May 6, 2023 at 17:08 #1646836“Training a horse to try to win over a mile and then expecting him to win over 6 furlongs just a few weeks later is not straightforward.”
Happened last year i think.
May 6, 2023 at 17:09 #1646837He was way too keen early but, as Chezza said, he ran abysmally today. May not have trained on- will want to see him run again before drawing any conclusions, though.
May 6, 2023 at 17:09 #1646838It remains to be seen Mike but to my mind he is a classic fast 2 year old that will not train on at 3.
May 6, 2023 at 17:10 #1646839Little Big Bear had a setback at the end of last season and this may set him back mentally if he’s had a bad experience
Blackbeard as good is he is in the breeding sheds may get a recall if Aidan’s stable is in limbo…

On the other side of the coin the run would’ve taken some of the rust away.
May 6, 2023 at 17:20 #1646849Mike’s full stop returns
Pretty sure he put up sakheer and it’s now become a .
Little big bear pulled like a lunatic today was always finishing out the tele after that
Back to sprints will suit him better
Horses with top 2yo form have an excellent record in this so noble style, LBB and sakheer still the main contenders in my eyes
All bar eqtidaar won 2yo group races
All bar eqtidaar and queit reflection won a group 2 or group 1 at 2
May 6, 2023 at 17:22 #1646851Its premature to decide he hasn’t trained on after running over a mile on testing ground imo.
Once the dust settles he’ll be a player next month i reckon.

I did but decided to wait.
May 6, 2023 at 18:00 #1646871LBB may have finished lame apparently.
May 6, 2023 at 18:01 #1646872No Nay Never big strong two year olds, percentage wise most get taken over at three

May 6, 2023 at 18:07 #1646874I’ve moved over to Noble Style 10-1. Hopefully they give this a go.

May 20, 2023 at 13:54 #1648516Noble style ran a terrible race then
Head all over the show never looked happy
I was very surprised he was turned out just 2 weeks after what will have been a hard race in the guineas
May 20, 2023 at 13:57 #1648518Agree about the 2 week turnaround.
Always a chance it would come too soon.May 20, 2023 at 14:01 #1648520Backed Shaquille at 12/1 with Ladbrokes. He would be half the price if trained by a fashionable stable.
