Well I’ve just read this thread in full.

Firstly, I’ll say I never noticed any clique. When I joined a couple of years back, I was certainly not made to feel like an outsider to any group of posters.

Secondly, it’s a shame to see nauseated go. He was a character that’s for sure. Sad to see him lose his marbles a tad on both this thread and the Ladbroke thread last week. Hopefully, he will be back.

Well, if you write on a specific topic and with much detail you may more expect feedback, than if you are writing about the weather or the Thinker’s snowy Gold Cup or when Barracuda was a giant stick insect. Replies will also depend on how often you write, and to some degree if people like you, or hate you enough, or view your posts as adding something or detracting. Posters can feel a bit hurt if they are ignored, but bear in mind as a forum becomes smaller the cliques tend to be more evident and noticeable – and not so easily disguised in the general babble of the shortening nail filled garden fence.

There are always different parts of town – but if you are splashing about a lot and not enjoying it much – maybe don’t do it. Well done Tommy !

Quite a volatile aggressive thread all in all ( I read in the early hours at 4.30) with some concessions and tea (mine) and some coming together – but not finalised but time resolved – not tucked in but put to bed with a ten foot chopper- unlike some that never resolve and just fester on for years and years and years, candle ever burning, ebbing then intensifying, but never dying stuck in a stale pattern of predictability never demisting the only tears left which should have been long dried, but woe betide ! the febrile mood just dessicating the constancy of the unending gory boring the flies on all nearby window panes to death – to drown themselves in beer or find a web and join some other dying daddies to add to the spider’s lunch box cheer.
