Barney Walsh the idiot son of Bradley. If it wasn’t for his father his work saying would be, would you like fries with that.

    Chat shows are deceptively difficult.

They are. I’m not the biggest fan but I’ll watch them if happen to see that someone I like is on. Norton is very good at it. Holding a bunch of people who generally have large egos together and allowing them all their turn isn’t easy. Different world to V / So Graham Norton, some of that wouldn’t make it to air these days.

On another note, does anyone know what the point of The One Show is?

Never met him so I can’t verify but I’ve heard a lot of negative stories about Robinson.

I’ve met the odd famous person but not many. David Mitchell seemed a decent bloke and was happy to sign an autograph. This was back in the days when he was only really known for Peep show.

I see the comedian Mike Wozniak about fairly regularly as he lives nearby. Never spoke to him because I don’t really know his stuff so it would be a bit awkward but by all accounts he’s a nice chap.

I don’t really care about famous people, I worked at Pinewwod Studios during the 80s and part of the 90s and saw all sorts. Working on one of the Superman sets Christopher Reeves came into what was the staff canteen and sat down with his lunch, no one batted an eyelid.

I suppose it you work at a film studio the there part of the furniture , I’ve found it best just to talk away and not let on , I suppose the worst thing about being famous is when you stop being recognised , Williams had a love/hate relationship with it …

As I’m stuck in a time warp that forever returns to 1960 after reaching the new millennium many on this list are a mystery to me, but of those who were around then and still are Jonathan Ross has always irritated me: way too slickly sure of himself, with machine-gun patter delivered in an ugly Estuary English accent.

His one saving grace being he’s – like me – a big fan of the comic book artist Steve Ditko who worked for decades illustrating Marvel and DC comics. Terrific, imaginative artwork.

Alexander Armstrong made a lovely series on Ch4 called perfect pub walks. He took over from Bill Bailey. I would have thought that, of the two of them I would have preferred the Bill Bailey series but the Armstrong one was imo much better. Didn’t realise he was the voice of Dangermouse…

Agree with Jonathan Ross Drone. He was paid an absolute fortune by the beeb. I couldn’t stand his interview style. He always tried to outspeak the guest which for him was quite easy. No surprise when he got the sack after his prank with Russell Brand against Andrew Sachs.

Agreed Matron all four of those most worthy and can I please add
    Keith Lemon 🫤

Someone who also drives me mad is the globe hopping mumper…
    Jane Mcdonald😱
She must have shares in Channel 5.
Why are we interested that she is going Pole to Pole, (is she searching for Michael Palin)? Then she’s cruising around the World and discovering the Caribbean before getting lost in Japan and lately she’s in Nashhville. I vaguely remember her as a cabaret act on the documentary The Cruise who made a few albums…how has she managed to morph into the female version of Alan Wicker.
