Fact To File, 6/1 for the Ryanair on the Betfair Sportsbook looks generous. I don’t see why Gaelic Warrior should be a shorter price when he obviously won’t run.

The downside is FTF will be 10 next year and heading towards the veteran stage.

Agree CAS… Fact to File Missing Cheltenham this year will be a bonus for him next year regard miles on the clock. Think he was a late starter, certainly a different route to most and didn’t take in the juvenile races or any hurdles so he should be okay at 10. His Cheltenham bumper defeat to A Dream to Share doesn’t feel that long ago.

By the way I see Betway aren’t taking any chances with Jukebox … 8/1

True, Nathan. He won’t have many miles on the clock for a 10 year old. I did say to myself I was not going to make any long range punts but that 6/1 looks mighty generous!

3/1 against Woodhoh for the Mares would be a decent bet if she makes it but I am not trying up money for a year at that price.

OK, I gave in. Took the 6/1 against Fact To File.

Also did a Lucky 15: Lossiemouth (Champion Hurdle), Woodhoh (Mares Hurdle), Fact To File (Ryanair) and Gaelic Warrior (Gold Cup).

Interesting shout on Narciso Has, HDLG. I think he would have hacked up yesterday. I am sure the Mullins camp know he is better than the 50/1 chance that won.

My concerns are that 5yo’s have an iffy record at best in the Champion Hurdle. And he is also quoted in the Arkle betting.

I would rather know what Mullins and McManus are planning before getting involved.

Agree that Narciso Has could develop into the main threat to Lossiemouth next season but, as stated above, you’re always playing Mullins Bingo where the Closutton charges are concerned, unless they are defending champions in their division.

    My Lucky 15:

    Feel Gut – Supreme
    Lossiemouth – Champion Hurdle
Il Etait Temps – Champion Chase
    Garlic Bread – Gold Cup

Cheltenham repeats are def the norm however FTF isn’t getting any younger , can you trust Lossiemouth to be in the Champion , at 14s I’ll happily have a punt at Narciso

Lulamba may be a bit too young for Gold Cup 2027 success, especially with GW and JB about. FTF will be 10 next year so may regress.

“can you trust Lossiemouth to be in the Champion”

She’s a shot to nothing now, especially if Gaelic Warrior stays sound and looks likely to win the gold cup again providing Ricci with his winner next year. He has Charme de Faust to shape towards the mares’ , and even potentially Selma de Vary if she learns to settle (stamina on the dam’s side).

Kitzbuhel is probably the biggest threat to Garlic next year, if they let him run. Wasn’t stopping up the hill, the first 6 year old since Don Poli to win the RSA/BANC, by Cokoriko out of a Dom Alco mare. Hasn’t beaten top class horses yet, but he will.

The question will be is does the GC leave a mark on Gaelic , I don’t believe he had a hard race but the stats don’t lie , the race finishes plenty horses

    Agreed, GAG.

If anything were to come out of the woodwork to challenge Garlic Bread, it’ll be Kitzbuhel.

Two things put me off: the old course suits front runners more than the new course; I think GB is just a better horse.

Still, I will now place a bet on Kitzbuhel e/w

    Kitzbuhel 20-1 e/w
