Hi all has anyone got any news on Chaninbar as to whether he is to be referred or even banned .
I think it would be a shame if he wasn’t allowed to race again and he’s one of my favourite horses too
November 15, 2011 at 20:28 #378045I think it’s unlikely he’ll be allowed to race – and neither he should be.

I agree, the horse is an unsafe conveyance. He did eventually refuse at Chelt for the record
November 15, 2011 at 23:19 #378073Chaninbar does not enjoy racing, as proven time and time again. Hopefully he can be found another job soon.
Value Is EverythingNovember 15, 2011 at 23:40 #378082Sam Twiston-Davies reported in Monday’s post that Chaninbar had been banned, and he was unhappy with that.
Like others I think enough is enough, there is far too much evidence the horse does not like racing.
November 16, 2011 at 00:01 #378089Sadly I think that he has had enough and I hope that a good home can be found for him.
In my view the handicapper has never given him / the connections the leniency re his rating that others have been given.
I thought that it was traditional that the handicapper erred on the side of caution with rating horses from major stables ?April 1, 2012 at 22:22 #399097I see this fellow is now trained by Brendan Powell and has raced twice on the AW over the last 6-8 weeks, with RP comments for both races containing the phrase "reluctant to race"
Surely he should be retired at this stage
Even Professor Trubshawe loves racing more than Chaninbar, that’s how much the horse hates the game nowadays!
