Firstly, GD, great tipping mate, well done!

Secondly, too many people get over excited when ChelteNHam comes around and a lot of nonsense gets posted around various forums, quite amusing though

Thirdly, Rooster Booster was fantastic today the way he powered away up the hill and I take nothing away from him but I’m a Rhinestone Cowboy fan and he ran well enough (after a few mistakes) even though I expected more, he’ll certainly be a better horse next year and has every chance of being champion in my opinion.

Also I thought the race was a bit farcical at the start with Hors La Loi being left and not given a chance to defend his title – shambles

ps. I did well in this race with the winner and the 3rd in my horses to follow so I’ve got to be happy.

Todays race had similar qualities to the champion hurdle in 1994. Flakey Dove won then and was the older horse who like Rooster , had won that seasons Bula Hurdle and had loads of experience and ran well at Cheltenham. On that day in 1994, she was the value horse on the day and returned 9-1. This morning Rooster Booster was the value horse IMO. Both Rooster and Flakey travelled through the race so well and jumped superbly. They both finished strongly up the hill, with the great pretenders behind them.<br>Funnily enough Rooster was born in the year that Flakey Dove won her crown. He was born on April 1st, which fools backed against him today!!!!

    Ian,

Leave poor Hawk Wing alone! Jesus the guy is trying to kepp a low profile!! His day will come, just like Rooster, he was a proven two year old, did break the record in the Curragh, I hope he proves his worth to all his doubters as a four year old.

Can i add that I baced Emma Lavell’s horse (self defencse)each way at 100-1 and he was 4th!!! Bugger, if that had been a handicap he would gave paid out. He looked great in the paddock and i think Emma is a great trainer and she’s in form too. I also backed Rooster to win, but only £1;) (me of little betting £) and like a butterfly. I think Self defense is one to watch on his next race!

For the remaining non believers out there Postmark award Rooster booster a higher rating than Istabraq achieved in winning any of his champion Hurdles. This may not have been a vintage champion but he was a vintage winner.

I have to join other contributors here in a large serving of humble pie. I couldn’t have Rooster Booster at any price for the CH and he won so easily in a very good time.

Congratulations both to RB and those who supported him.
