Sea Pigeon the Grade 2 International Hurdle is an option for The New Lion regards another prep for the Champion Hurdle. And Lossiemouth likely to stay in Ireland for her preps trainer has said.

Maybe the fact State Man who is under the same owner could influence Sir Gino showing up in the Champion Hurdle unless Anzadam shows a massive turnaround when he next runs.

The more I know the less I understand.

We don’t even know if Sir Gino is going to be back let alone what route he’s taking. ;o)

a couple more no shows, a fall or two and sir gino could get a 126 page thread all of his own.

After Henderson stated Sir Gino may step in for the Christmas Hurdle most places show him as second favourite for this.

If Sir Gino is over his problems and runs, I believe he will win it.

I wouldn’t be totally giving up on Anzadam..?? It was his first run of the campaign and his toughest race to date. I would be worried him turning his head at the business end and not totally going through with his effort but it would depend on that being a fitness/1st time out thing or a him thing. Sir Gino noise being same ownership wouldn’t be encouraging again though is that a ownership or Hendo decision

He doesn’t have anything to find. Burdett Road, the horse he destroyed in the triumph was 2nd in the Champion Hurdle. That is literally the standard in the division. Nemean Lion nearly won the Fighting Fifth, lovely horse but thats not strong form. Lossie over 2M? Well her only relevant 2m form had her beating Burdett Road too but no more impressively than Golden Ace or Sir Gino did and she didnt even win the race.

Tinman you can’t use last year’s race as form , it fell apart with the falls , there’s a reason Lossiemouth is now favourite

There are doubts about the participation of Lossiemouth, she may well go for the Mares again. The New Lion may get turned over at Kempton in December or Cheltenham in January and could get rerouted to the Stayers Hurdle. Sir Gino might not turn up at all or run in 2 mile Champion Chase if Anzadam in the same ownership shows his true form. Anzadam does not appear to have an alternative target. Mullins only 2 weeks ago was saying he was a real Champion Hurdle contender, he was odds on ante-post for the Morgiana but was withdraw and according to some reports that was because he had not worked well. I am convinced he is a whole lot better than he showed in The Fighting Fifth and if he redeems himself in his next race the 20/1 currently available will look very generous.

I am not convinced by Anzadam, even allowing for any issues he may have had. He travelled through the race at Newcastle like the best horse, came there on the bridle but didn’t win. He looked awkward and his head carriage was not impressive.

Lossiemouth is fav for a reason , and I say that as someone with The New Lion well covered antepost

I mean if you take everything very literal? However, that injury he’s had could result in any level of horse returning, we don’t know. Obviously connections are considering trying the G1 hurdle route so they must think he’s returning well. A bit surprised they don’t continue chasing though.

Yet to be truly convinced on Munny myself, especially to be an 8/1 shot. Guess it shows the ****-ness of the race on paper right now.

Lossiemouth to me would end up pretty much banker material here. She’s got a little to prove on her jumping sharpness over 2 right now, but i’d fancy her vs SG + TNL everyday of the week. They’d have to be right good horses to give her 7lb, especially Sir Gino with his injury.

If they do put Sir Gino into the hurdle picture then the hill is toast , let’s remember how nuts everyone was going about his novice chase run …
