    Maybe it was not the best CH ever run but she was class. Never looked like losing. I said she was worth a speculative entry after Newbury (page 4) but did not expect her to win like that!

    Maybe she would have won anyway but the Mares allowance is a huge help.

    Sharjah was given a very good ride

    He smuggled him into a good position but the horse just didn’t find enough up the hill

    I seemed a bit churlish there; just looked at it again, winner was very very impressive, time may prove she is exceptional, the one to beat next year

    Strictly speaking true, although Espoir d’Allen would probably have run in and won the Triumph if he’d been at himself.
