Dinoblue is a certainty now.
March 13, 2024 at 16:09 #1685486What’s that popping noise?
Oh it’s the bookies champagne corks as they are tucking away all the Mullins acca money.March 13, 2024 at 16:09 #1685487Jeff, take a bow for that one. It sounds like you’ve had a very nice winner there
March 13, 2024 at 16:10 #1685488Is the Champion Chase the most consistently underwhelming race on the calendar? Seems to fall to pieces every year.

Value Is EverythingMarch 13, 2024 at 16:13 #1685491“Couldn’t even stay on its feet for the top 3 after the fav fell, ridiculous”.
I share your pain, Ben. The horse was clearly tired. Maybe Cannon was still doing his best to win when he probably should have just made sure he got over the last two and finished third. It would have suited us anyway!
It would be interesting to know if he was aware the favourite was out. He has obviously burned a lot of energy early. If he knew the favourite was out, it might have been better to have reined it back a little and saved something for the end.

Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
March 13, 2024 at 16:16 #1685493I can’t believe I didn’t do the tricast. I have a £2 forecast with the front two and also Edwardstone, but I just didn’t invest a single penny on a tricast. Every bet I placed in this race was without El Fabiolo…..
March 13, 2024 at 16:16 #1685494The moral of the story is never back a WPM 2-9 shot in the Champion Chase. That’s two he’s had beaten at those odds.
March 13, 2024 at 16:17 #1685495Delighted for Captain Guinness and connections; been highly tried over the years but has never ducked a battle. Like Special Cargo and Put the Kettle On, not top class, but real warriors.
Glad to see Paul pulling up El Fabiolo immediately, if only Ruby had done the same with Douvan….March 13, 2024 at 16:18 #1685496I don’t think Cannon was aware as I didn’t see him look behind him and I didn’t notice him ease off as they turned down the back away from the stands.
Odds on favs strangely don’t have a great record in this race and this is another one added to the list.
March 13, 2024 at 16:19 #1685497Well done Henry for keeping the horse sound-it’s got a weird action in front watching him walking in- and getting him over the heart problem.
Nice to see a smaller owner winning- he’s got two other horses in training, a 70 rated Flat horse that has never won anything and finished out of the places at Dundalk on its last run, and a twice raced mare that finished stone last in a bumper last week.March 13, 2024 at 16:20 #1685498“Glad to see Paul pulling up El Fabiolo immediately”
