Malone Road with a slight injury and may be ruled out.
That couple with yesterday’s performance by Envoi Allen has seen him almost punted into favourite!
December 4, 2018 at 22:37 #1388038I would be careful about betting on Envoi Allen, like I have, given the quote from Elliott below. That said, perhaps this may change if Malone Road is ruled out.
Elliott’s quote after Envoi Allen’s recent victory….
“He’s a nice horse but he’s a horse for next year. We’re only minding him this year. He’ll probably have one more run in a bumper and he won’t be going to Cheltenham. He’s a baby and has only been on grass once.”December 4, 2018 at 23:25 #1388041I wouldn’t even consider backing anything for the bumper until we see a bit more evidence.
December 5, 2018 at 06:20 #1388047Gordon doesn’t care about the bumper. He’s said words to that effect quite a few times publically now.
December 6, 2018 at 01:02 #1388145Nah, I think it’s Gigginstown that don’t care about it. Gordon wants to win everything.
December 6, 2018 at 10:35 #1388166Gordon had 8 winners at last season’s festival; do you not think he’ll be eager to better that again in March?
December 16, 2018 at 17:33 #1389562Sounds like this is wide open again

December 26, 2018 at 15:53 #1390295Larquebuse is a Savage horse but has been just given possibly one of the worst rides ever by Codd at Limerick
January 21, 2019 at 22:01 #1393212Timeform ratings on bumper horses this year just shows how many have yet to debut over hurdles from last season – more to come here over the coming weeks but I really liked King Roland and Eden du Houx so far, the latter with connections that have travelled this path well before. Inconceivable however that Mullins doesn’t come out with 2 or 3 in the next few weeks that rips up this market

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 23, 2019 at 11:28 #1393309From memory, Vigil, trained by Dermot Weld was the last horse to run in 2. Ridden on both occasions by Pat Smullen
January 23, 2019 at 13:28 #1393327im sure a filly trained by JohnJo owned by Magneir raced in bumper two years on the trot, might have won one of them,, the name escapes me, mad into a high class hurdler,, late 90s,, early 2000s
January 23, 2019 at 13:33 #1393328quick racing post search, shows my old grey matter still working
Refinement 2nd in 2004,, 4th in 2005 editions of bumper
finished 3rd in Nicanor / Denmans novice hurdle in 2006
January 28, 2019 at 17:49 #1394082I’m going to have a go in this, a total guess, but at 33s will give it a try. At least for a day 😉
A horse called Andy Dufresne (I like the name as Shawshank Redemption is my favourite film) runs for JP Mcmanus tomorrow at Down Royal. One would expect those odds to tumble if he were to win well and they decide to go for this.
Although its a guess the horse has a tall reputation and was bought at the sales for a fair old sum so know a little bit about him at least.
January 29, 2019 at 17:52 #1394173I think I will stick with him.
January 30, 2019 at 09:25 #1394232Denise has let me cash out my Mt Leinster bet I’ve had some 10s on Blue Sari, that looks a right tool.
Andy Dufresne looks a nice horse but looks green and more of a jumping type to me.
