I am not a fan of him by any means but it would appear that even Bruce Springsteen has now fallen foul of the Thought Police.
A radio station has chosen to censor the lyrics of “Born In The USA” due to the term “yellow man” being used to describe someone of Asian ethnicity.
If even Bruce, the darling of the metropolitan Left, is not safe from the finger waggers now – who is?
Personally, I always thought yellow man was a type of tooth breaking toffee found around the North Antrim coast…
January 13, 2026 at 20:00 #1750385Well at least it’s consistent I suppose.
Having looked up the lyrics, to me it’s simply reflective of how someone like that would have spoken and indeed how their army superiors would have spoken to them. It’s not as if the song is a flag waving outpouring of patriotism to the Yoo Ess Eh. In that context I think it would be inappropriate.
Would he write that today? Perhaps not but it is 40 years old. Leave it be.

So Trump and MAGA are all for freedom of speech… except for when they don’t like what is being said, even as a (very poor) joke.
