Delighted to see Mighty Many win over fences on Sunday. However, I happened to flick through his form on the RP site and saw that he had beaten Black Jack Ketchum. Further investigation showed that is the best part of two years since this horse has been seen in public.
Is he still around and if so is he still in training and from that when are we likely to see him again? Anybody know.

Whatever happened to the lad who had £50,000 on him to win three Stayers Hurdles in a row according to the magic sign?

That punter is probably sharing a bed-sit with the Irish pundit I encountered on a Cheltenham preview panel, who was adamant that after Keen Leader had bolted up in that year’s Sun Alliance Chase, he would win the next three Gold Cups.
There must be something in the air that inspires this sort of exaggerated faith in Jonjo’s horses.

December 15, 2009 at 11:14 #263930Is that the same Irish pundit who told you that the ill-fated Dorans Pride would leave Kingscliff in his wake?

That’s the feller – I seem to remember he was planning to lay Kingscliff to lose his entire bank.

December 15, 2009 at 12:53 #263947Black Jack Ketchum was last year enjoying retirement on his owners small holding in the Bahamas, Alright for some! I read it on another forum or maybe even this one somewhere.
December 15, 2009 at 13:09 #263948Happy memories! It was unquestionably the best preview evening I have ever attended.
December 17, 2009 at 21:48 #264294thanks guys, hope he is happy. Sorry about the late reply but we have taken delivery of a new kitten the other night called Tipsey. Wife did not know what the name meant. The study is absolute chaos and Shalom our older cat is completely bewildered.
