    Passed away due to a suspected heart attack during the cross-country race at Cheltenham today. RIP. :(

    This was terribly sad. It looks like Cheltenham are going to do a post mortem.

    The presenter on C4 seemed to think there would be one to determine cause. Jockey evidently said he felt the horse collapse underneath him and pulled him up. I thought it looked like it might be a hip or pelvis injury as when pulling up Big Shu looked like he wasn’t putting weight on one leg and then just before the camera lost him he looked to collapse behind which made me think pelvic problem. But both could also have been effects of a heart attack I guess.

    I was about 30 yards away and it looked like a heart attack to me. Terrible for his connections, a lovely genuine horse.

    A very sad day, saw him go and knew it wasn’t good.
    It did look very much like a pelvic problem, his back leg wouldn’t bear weight…poor boy.
    RIP Big Shu :cry:

    Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
