Looks like the BHB’s evil masterplan to make every meeting a card full of low grade 14 runner races watched by lagered up coach trips has taken a step closer.

    The evil masterplan, drawn up by the BHB and the big bookies, was given a huge shot in the arm by Northern Racing agreeing to obliterate 16 runner handicaps from their lager dens. This starts today, with horses being balloted out at Taunton for the sole reason of taking away a fourth place from each-way punters.

    Genuinely shameful stuff.

    It gets worse!
The BHB masterminds have a plan to assimilate banded racing into mainstream cards.Why do they need to pad out the everburgeoning surfeit of fixtures with this low grade dross no-one wants to watch other than to save a few bob on prize money?
With more and more sand racing, it’s like going to the dogs in more ways than one.
Looks like they’re adding these bandit races so they can ballot out horse in 16 runner handicaps.

    Just spotted the following on the RP online, ref Kempton’s inaugural AW meeting on Saturday;
The safety limit for each race on Saturday will be 14 – a figure which will rise to 17 at the course’s ‘premier’ meetings.
How much longer can the terminally stupid BHB expect Joe Punter to swallow this sop to the bookmakers masquerading as being in the interests of racehorse safety?

    If that is the case then it’s a bizarre situation, the track can either safely accomodate 14 or 17. Cannot have it both ways.

    14 cannot be a safety limit if it can accomodate 17 so I’d like them to tell us what a limit of 14 is doing?
