As usual with races of this nature, my eyes drawn to Thanksforthehelp. Difficult to catch, but I like him, and high on the shortlist. Could also make a case for stablemate Jurancon.
The one who looks the wrong price though, is Dedicated Hero. Good winner at the track last season, and ended the season well at Perth. More than happy to draw a line through his comeback run at Carlisle. This race and The Rendlesham were the two I had in mind for him at start of season, so I have to take the 33’s just now, as prefer this over The Greatwood for him, and it’s a race I always like an Antepost in
Dedicated Hero (Cashed Out)
Final Decs
Almost ended up with no bet in this, not really strong on anything, but I’ll follow you in TYT with Phantomofthepoints EW. No bet yet, but will go once I see any positives in the market
Didn’t get the six places
Phantomofthepoints 25’s EW5Pls
November 8, 2025 at 10:22 #1744080Jurancon at 20s would be a hefty bet if he wasn’t also entered in the Greatwood over 2 miles. I thought this would be the season he’d go up in trip and this is seemingly Pipe’s favourite race given his record in it. If he gets pulled from the Greatwood I’ll pull the trigger but for now I’ll wait.
November 16, 2025 at 18:45 #1744859It’s stating the bleeding obvious but Ma Shantou will be hard to beat here.
People often say “I’ve seen better even money shots”; well, I have seen far worse 11-2 shots… although his recent slide has to be of some concern.
November 18, 2025 at 22:23 #1745055Navajo Indy for me. Very happy to take the 12’s that was available over the weekend. If he turns up here he’s gonna be half that surely!?
November 19, 2025 at 21:21 #1745085I will go with Navajo Indy as well. Just wait until he is declared.
November 19, 2025 at 22:01 #1745086I’ll go with Shoot First at 8/1. Won the race last year, is only 1 pound higher and is ridden by a seven pound claimer. Might not have the form he had last year, but could go close again.
November 20, 2025 at 12:08 #1745103I was waiting to see if Hartington was going to get in so will side with him now that he has.
7-1 ew 6 places.November 20, 2025 at 17:06 #1745107Nab Wood 16/1 win only.
Won last time out, at Ayr, albeit in a small field. Has won over 3m+ before and the soft going wont hinder.
Trainer and jockey in decent form at the mo. Only negative that i can see is that he unseated on his sole Haydock appearance, back in Feb.
Yep, he’ll do for me.
November 20, 2025 at 17:14 #1745108Hartington is my idea of the winner, though I was hoping for bigger than 7-1. He will have to do though
November 20, 2025 at 19:27 #1745113Hartington for me too.
Pipe has a good record in this so I’ll add Phantomofthepoints each way too.
November 22, 2025 at 10:25 #1745246Added Jingko Blue. Based on his chase form he might have something in hand.
Navajo Indy 10/1
Jingko Blue 20/1 EWNovember 22, 2025 at 12:14 #1745260Obviously very open but I’ve gone for Navajo Indy 7s. Seems very progressive.
November 22, 2025 at 13:30 #17452802 tickles Phontomoftheppoints for the Largs Mafia has a decent hcap in him , another that interests me is Esprit Du Portier , good bumper horse but they’ve had to be patient with him , had a pipe opener and I’m expecting a better show today
