Hi there,
Any help gratefully received.
I am a resident in Spain and until June 2012 had an exchange account with no problems( all horse racing ). This was all changed after the election of a new Spanish Government, and no more Exchange betting was permitted.
I know that they have a Sports book but is anyone aware if the Exchange will be allowed again for horse racing? I did use WBX for a while until they packed up.
Googling all this gives contradictory answers.
Cheers,
December 12, 2016 at 13:36 #1276851Hello mate,
With time the market will eventually come back, but unless big changes in the exchange regulations occur, there will be no money flowing, so basically a useless exchange.
P.S: There are ways to bet on UKs exchange, though not “legal” and not easy to achieve it with your real identity.

Thanks for that — looks like I will have to move to Gibraltar which I can see out my window!
From 2000 until 2012 I had a Betfair exchange account in Spain funded with GB pounds and access to every market – happy days!
Cheers.

Very much this. I love my bear, he was tunnelling for – and, indeed, to – England when I was in the States recently.

That could be an option. If you know someone from over there, you can register in his/her address, etc.
Later to get access you would just need VPN access which is relatively easy to get.I also miss those days, everything was much easier.

I have thought of that as well and will make enquiries.
