Has anyone else received an email from Betfair about how data has been breached?
Part of the email advises: “Based on our evaluation of the information involved, we concluded that the personal information affected is limited to basic betting account details, such as your username and email address, and some contact information, including your name and the first line of your address and city. It also includes details of some recent activity on your account and technical data like your device ID and IP address.”
Oh good, so nothing important then.
I have had the same message.
Should I be concerned ?
Should I be Seriously concerned ?
Or should I beleive it’s all ok now, but just remain vigilant ?
Maybe forum members with better computing skills than I could give some advice.
Safest bet would be to close down the account and create a new one.
Better still, stop feeding these parasites completely.
....and you've got to look a long way back for anything else.
Id be firing off a email to customer service , I’d use the word compensation a lot ….
I’ve had the same message from Paddy Power
Skybet had a “make over” recently and have the same format/layout possibly odds as betfair sportsbook, paddy power so it wouldn’t surprise me if a email comes from them next
