Dan Glavin, the Bookmaker Partnerships Manager at The Jockey Club, said: “The partnership between The Jockey Club and BetMGM got off to a great start earlier in 2024 with BetMGM’s sponsorship of the County Hurdle at Cheltenham.”
Oh really? I seem to recall the website crashed just before the race was due off and it was impossible to place a bet. The site was also down for most of the opening day of the festival.
Plenty of punters reported not being credited with promised free bets and winning bets on Teahupoo in the Stayers Hurdle were settled as losers, only to be corrected hours later.
And the Jockey Club thinks this company is suitable to be its official betting partner.
