Whilst never advocating betting blind, is there a beter stable to consider punting on than J.P. Ferguson ?
36 runners, 14 winners and 7 places this season.
Level stakes profit of £35.98 to a £1 stake.
    What a great record.

    Ian Williams?

On the flat in 2011 he had 41 winners from 224 runners producing a level stakes profit of £66.64 to the £1 stake.

If you restricted yourself to merely his AW runners you would have backed 24 winners from 112 runners for a handsome level stakes profit of £73.39.

Backing just his older horses (4yo+) under both codes would have shown a level stakes profit of £90.18.

I can only assume that as Ian is still seen as more of a jumps trainer (despite having had more flat winners than jumps winners over the last 5 years) his flat runners tend to be underbet.

In the jumps sphere, a cursory glance at the trainer stats also reveals that the following trainers are all showing impressive level stakes profits:

Charlie Longsdon 45 wins from 202 runners +£36.60
Emma Lavelle 28 wins from 132 runners +£56.67
Sarah Humphrey 21 wins from 67 runners +£47.88
Kate Walton 10 wins from 69 runners +£36.25
Sheena West 13 wins from 58 runners +£49.13
Tim Walford 11 wins from 61 runners +£50.00
Anthony Honeyball 14 wins from 50 runners +£38.63

And having mentioned our own trainer on the flat, it would be churlish of me not to also give credit to the following trainers records in 2011:

Mahmood Al Zarooni 81 wins from 409 runners +£120.48
Roger Varian 53 wins from 272 runners +£56.94
James Fanshawe 32 wins from 201 runners +£105
Bryan Smart 69 wins from 489 runners +£39.88
Alan Bailey 40 wins from 267 runners +£125.36
Mark Brisbourne 40 wins from 333 runners +£87.63
Alan Jarvis 20 wins from 169 runners +£92

I know I’m biased but the Ian Williams stable is on fire at the moment – six of his last ten runners have now won.
