For all the criticism that the BBC racing coverage gets on here surely nobody could doubt how brilliant their tribute to him was during their National coverage today……….no sentimentality or hot air just those classic Ginger soundbites set against Mack The Knife jazzing along in the background.Had to be seen and heard to be believed…….Brilliant!…………even Ginger might have liked it.

The whole production has been fantastic. I’m enjoying every second of it.

I dread to think of next year’s coverage interspersed with the gocompare guy, those wonga biddies and underdog :(

The new bust to Ginger McCain was featured on Thursday’s BBC coverage.
Ginger’s wife had apparently asked for it to be placed in a suitably elevated place so that the great man could survey the scene across the paddock area. A fitting tribute.
Clare Balding told viewers: "A really lovely bust, that."
I assume she was referring to Ginger and that her eye had not been distracted by one of the bevy of busty, tattooed Scouse "beauties" who were wobbling around the course in various skimpy outfits that day. :D
