    Entries…

Amazed to see Frodon in here, and even off 158, I’d give him a massive chance in this, as it’s not too strong an entry. I’d expect him to be ready to go, but given that entry at Down Royal, not one for an Antepost.

He’d definitely be the bet if he goes, and the other one to jump out is The Big Breakaway

    Frodon

He’s going to down royal according to the Nicholls stable tour in the RP this morning

    A precautionary entry I imagine

I think he said enrilo was running here

Thanks FF, was unlikely to bet him Antepost, but that price might have tempted me.

Bizarrely, Bryony Frost is jocked up on the horse for Wincanton, but no booked rider as yet at Down Royal.

That might mean nothing, but the Handicapper has given Frodon a right chance and 12/1 would be massive if he went to Wincanton.

Took the 12’s while it’s still going. Down to 7’s in a few places.

Frodon and Bryony have won me a load of dosh over the years so took a punt at 10s (365) for this.
Looks like next few days have rain around and N Ireland can quickly become a very wet place. Cant see PN taking a chance of taking Frodon over there now, with real danger of heavier conditions at Down Royal by Saturday.
I could easily be wrong

Just popped up on Racing Post website:

Three-time Grade 1 winner Frodon will not defend his Ladbrokes Champion Chase crown at Down Royal this weekend and will instead head to Wincanton after soft ground in Northern Ireland forced connections to change their plans.

EDIT: Price just collapsed on 365. Now at 5s.

A big bet for me on Planned Paradise if he is a declared runner. He wasn’t so clever last time, but I think that he’s the right type for this. If that plan doesn’t work out then I’ll jump ship to Irish Prophecy with a smaller bet.

I’ve started off with an tentative early bet on Planned Paradise at 33-1

    Lord Accord for me.

Won really well at Cheltenham last month and there was 3l back to a horse I think is a shoe in for one of the big handicaps over the year Olly Murphys the wolf.

Was going away up the hill and distances back to the other places.

Tbf, Lord Accord is the sort of annoying progressive younger chaser who might come along and nail my 12/1 Frodon bet on the line!

I’ll go with Cap Du Nord on the nose, and he’s around 13-2 at the moment

Nicholls horses are flying and while Frodon has been given a chance him being there helps Enrillo , he,s fragile but at on a winning mark I feel Frodon might well set the race up for him , Nicholls said in the RP that Greateen destroyed Frodon in a recent gallop , I know he,s a 2 miler but that just leaves a question mark with me regarding Frodon. at bigger El presente is another fragile horse but he has decent form which makes me play him e.w

    Elrillo

    El presente

Would love to see frodon win

No money needed to be applied happy to cheer him on with no financial investment

    Little legend of a horse

A 2 miler working all over a 3 miler should hardly be a worry surely

Good luck with the 10s and 12s those who got it
