Lads the horse had every chance coming round the home turn but yorkhill just got to top speed quicker. Not the best ride but not everyone can be on the inside and ruby probably got the rub of the green with the run up the inside but yorkhill was just better on the day. Another mad price English horse to go with the New One yesterday.

I wish i had said at the time that I didn’t understand why he would give up the Henderson association to ride for JP…..the quality of the Henderson horses is much higher IMO and has been for the longest time….it must have been a decision based on the money offered and also personal circumstances i.e living in Ireland but look at what he has missed out on in terms of quality….sounds like after timing but I genuinely did think so at the time of Sir AP’s retirement…I don’t think there has ever been more than a trickle of genuine top quality JP horses virtually throughout AP’s career that have been owned by JP and so it continues…..
