I am all for a bit of philanthropy
but really cannot get my head around WHY ?
Why do you living saints and Nelson Mandela
followers give out private information about
possible successful systems to public view.

When the public sees it and uses it -BANG the
effectiveness and all profit of the system is gone.
Back to square one. Wher oh where is the rationale ?

The exchanges are hard enough places as it is
since the number crunchers have set their software
at every entry point. I cannot advise you more strongly
    – if you have any method that produces profit
why the hell give it to Harry Hill to fart with –
keep it inside and to yourself.

As for already publicised sysetms like Van Der Whal etc
fair enough, its in the public domain, discuss them til you’re green in the face. Discuss different strategies; general approaches, how to organise your pots, but don’t give away any crocs of gold. I will not give a pinch of information to anyone else, least of all the public who I don’t know.

I believe you are all in the minority and are
barking at each other and up the wrong tree.

Possibly you are trying to run in the cleverness stakes

LOOKING AT YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR
AND SHOUTING OUT I AM GREAT
    HAVE BEEN EDITED OUT
I thought it a bit strong

    PLEASE DEFEND THIS HOUSE
    PLEASE DEFEND ITS PUBLIC STATUS

Glenn I also had an exceptional 17.35
but please keep the hills out of this,
I already see a great army gathering
    at the foot of one.

Gamble, it would be uncharitable of me to suggest if you don’t like this section to **** OFF out of it, or indeed to inquire why anyone would sit, for hours, writing little sentences that no one understands – you do your thing we do ours – as I believe your intentions maybe honourable (but then again Mr, not). So, I shall attempt to offer up a defence, no doubt none it will stand up to the righteous anger of your campaigning [u:3vul0hee]eye[/u:3vul0hee] – NEVER WISE UP A CHUMP – but here goes anyway:

    # on a general level Systems are just a bit of fun. A hobby, a way of whiling away a few hours while the missus is making the Tea (Dinner some people call it I believe) and nattering on about her day at work – before sitting down together to watch Holby. They are not to be taken seriously. But this of course, doesn’t address why anyone would put it on here, so.

    # It may be done in the hope of a genuine exchange of ideas – a crumb here a crumb there. I make no secret of the fact that my entire approach to my (mug)punting is derived from the works and wise words of Day Jay & Formath, from these very pages. However, with both of them I honestly believe I have never sought to embarrass them by asking or seeking specific advice, rather just by working with the advice they have given freely.

    # For others it may simply be a way of genuinely testing a System – away from the rubbing out. Personally I’m of the view that all systems should only be tested with real money (albeit small stakes) – it sorts the psychological men systems from the psychological boys systems – but some may prefer not to – either way hands remain in pockets – NO DIVING, NO PETTING, NO FIDDLING.

This chump has the right side of his face
badly swollen. On the table to the right of him
is a half bottle of Martell, to the left two
packages one contaimimg Amoxicillin and the other
Metronizodale. One of these medicines conflicts
with the right side of the table. The chump scratches
his head. He knows the risks and pours himself a small
measure. He is only damaging himself, no-one else, he is
not advising anyone else to take the risk he is,
or even publicising it, but is doing it all in private.

My position : I have taken advice only once on a forum,
in relation to a political market. It set me back £1200.
As far as horse racing I have never taken any advice
regarding the chance of a horse or a method of arriving
at a selection such as a system. I have arrived at my own
formulations, all mathematically based and I stick with
them. I can understand others like yourself gleaning
advice from others and there is nothing wrong with that.
I have recently re-enterd the markets after a lay off.

Lay systems put on open forum are my pet hate.
I never discuss hates after 11pm,
particualrly this evening as I gather Matron
is battle weary, has recently bathed and wishes,
I presume to sleep well on his favourite pillow.

I am sipping my Martell out of a large glass
and have put off my treacherous ice drive until 0530.
I shall be in fine fettle for battle tomorrow,
    still swollen, but hopefully refreshed,
and with better ammunition, all strung together
    with little sentences :|

Gamble has shown great courage in confronting the Systems forumites head on.

His nose has been thoroughly bloodied by Pompete though.

Better men than Gamble have been sent tail between their legs from this section of TRF

Gamble is regretting his reckless, and possibly drunken outburst.

He will be a long time forgetting this

Gamble, I would hope you may forgive my earlier outburst – you caught me at a bad moment – the missus is on about spending £1700 on wooden blinds for the house and consequently I choked on me chicken pie and chips. This near death experience upset me and this was then further made worse by your attack on this house that Matron keeps so spick and span.

In addition, upon further reflection it is clear to me your intention are indeed honourable. Back to the matter in hand, I should begin by explaining that I took a 15 year gap after my daughter was born from punting on the gee-gees (or anything else) and the advice, to which I refer, I have picked up from these pages was mostly to do with the changing landscape of those passing years.

I remember well the day my thoughts for this carry-on were re-awoken. I was stood in a newsagent and happened to glace a copy of Raceform Update. It was the week after Cheltenham which had passed me by completely – in fact so far had I travelled from this carry-on that I had even forgot Cheltenham in March, let alone never heard of Betfair or seen an AW race…… But, for some reason a picture of Brave Inca winning the Champion Hurdle awakened my dormant interest. It was sometime after I ventured into Matron’s home for the first time.

Wide-eyed and innocent, corrupted at a tender age by a Marxist schooling – from each according to their ability to each according to their needs – I had never been on a forum before but like to think I learnt quickly. Not that this prevented me having my collar felt a couple of times by my elders and betters and being told ‘mums the word’.

The good stuff – really good stuff – never reaches these pages, so fear not Gamble and in any moments of doubt take a peek into the ‘Big Race Discussion’ Section. At this time of year you will find plenty of shreddies – sorry – shrewdies fattening themselves up for Cheltenham – there’s still plenty of chumps to go round to not worry about a few being wised up in the section (not me btw I’m quite a content happy mug – £2.00 here, £2.00 there)

Share the love – for soon you shall feast – with Matron sat proudly at the head of the table…

Are Zen you are a very accomplished newbie
with an old head I would say.

You interest me with your excess of confidence,
I will have two guesses at you if I may.

Are Zen … now could that not be Razeen ?
or if not Razeen someone who was always close
on his heels – the confident Sky in mimmick form !
Either would be a very big catch.

Pompete a fascinating post – and very strangely
you have caused me to travel through the night,
and I am now tired and will explain all later
this morning, or bloodied afternoon.

    1/3 Sky ( a wolf dressed up as a horse )

    11/4 Razeen
( past ghost of the word association club )

    Gamble,

I sometimes wonder if you just like to "****-stir" for the sake of it?

I think you are in need of holiday in the sun or a good dentist.

    Matron [/color:2kjv70o2]
given a choice I would far rather
a spikey forum with a few fists flying
than a slipper bath and a small bar of soap passed around.
Have to have the correct balance of course, and if people get out of line I would ban them for a period of months, or possibly ban them completely if they refused to retract or remove or offer an apology or wanted to go like Davies

I suggest my ‘look at yourself in the mirror’ opening gambit was over the top. Pompete’s challenge was well measured in my opinion and a good return and it was kind of him to apologise but no need as the ‘personal’ remarks
were akin to the refreshing fall of snow on a barren landscape and just what I needed.

As for you Are zen and being bloodied, I have survived many attacks.

Playmaker (Flutter) – After a druken binge he subjected
every part of my anatomy to a brutal attack

David Marshal – ‘ less is more ‘ and guff

Zaas and Matron – cruelly placed me on a hot frying pan and likened me to an onion before applying the heat.

devilfish – we parried with each other in soft mud having removed our shoes – result wet socks.

Cardew – recommending me for de-selection from the BUG.

Razeen (jellied eels thread) – forget his abuse of Sky,
he took his gloves off with me and displayed uncontrolled anger displayed in his pumped up veins as he blasted my on line credibility to smitharines

Salty Jack – privately pm’d me that I was pyschotic then
did an exhaustive belittling post about the uselessness of my life.

Pompete adds to the the long list.

A foot soldier recruit replied to Hannibal how he could best serve in the army, and why he should be enlisted

‘ I would like to beaten every day repeatedly with a spade and stood on by the elephants until I am battle ready enough to join the front line ‘

    Gamble,

I like a "spiky" forum as you put it as well.

People, are given the benefit of the doubt before the final axe comes out.

It seems to me that some are just on a suicide mission from the point that they join.

 Plebs in the drinking houses still mutter between drinks that despite your axe dropping and being blunted recently on a comac stone, your earlier reputation of being quicker than Fernand Meyssonnier the guillotine barber, and your impressive tally of scalps, still proceed you, and leaves many of them insisting on a late night escort home

…A burly man with hard eyes, he had big, leathery hands, good for pulling heads into a guillotine before the blade came down, as he did about 200 times in French Algeria.

I have nothing against systems apart from the bearded variety.

Ever since there were two runner races there have been laying opportunities, but these were always secretly discussed at the masked ball or in a quiet latrine away
    from the mob.

Non triers are the bane of the industry and publisicing
authentic systems to uncover them does in my eyes, tarnish the image of the trier, and give completely the wrong message to any trainer who may assiduously study them.

I bow to your greater knowledge of your tally
and hide my page three in the much smaller obituary
    section.

On the play system side Glenn has aluded to
the shortening up of Richard Hils
and Adrian Massey the great marothon runner
has been reduced to mini by his free readership.

The Racing Post has fallen into a small trap of posting
lay selections – but hasn’t thankfully posted any lay systems
    to my knowledge.

This house should lead the way by at least dressing
sensibly in a private room away from the prying eyes of the
mob, and its myriads of mobiles.
