:
No time for Gowran Park this morning.
....and you've got to look a long way back for anything else.
October 5, 2013 at 10:06 #453626Looking ahead to tomorrow, I see we have a painfully long "Arc Preview" at 10.15.
The review will therefore be only 41 minutes, so which two of the four meetings from Saturday will be shown:
4/7 – Ascot & Wolverhampton
9/4 – Ascot & Fontwell
5/1 – Ascot & Gowran Park
20/1 – Wolverhampton & Fontwell
33/1 – Wolverhampton & Gowran Park
50/1 – Fontwell & Gowran Park....and you've got to look a long way back for anything else.
October 5, 2013 at 10:35 #453636In my opinion there is a much bigger issue with the RUK replays which so often have not been ‘trimmed’ correctly for online purposes.

Possibly (I don’t get RUK so can’t comment), but this is the ATR Racing Review thread. If you want to moan/grumble about RUK’s review please start a new thread for it.
No bet. Ascot/Wolverhampton. They should be able to show both in full in that time slot and besides it’s still the flat season so that will take precedence.
October 28, 2013 at 19:44 #456546Tuesday 8th October:
Gowran Park from the 5th shown in second slot!
Almost like the good old days.

Wexford 2.50 – Betting Graphic repeated after race instead of SP Graphic.
....and you've got to look a long way back for anything else.
December 4, 2013 at 22:47 #460798Thursday 14th November:
Full review shown of Lingfield (12th) at 10.15, held over from the 13th.
Good decision, more of this common sense approach would be welcome.

December 4, 2013 at 22:51 #460799Thursday 21st November:
Fairyhouse 2.15 – No SP graphic shown.

:
Doncaster 12.10 – SP graphic from 3.50 Limerick shown instead of the betting graphic.

Any reason why ATR couldn’t have shown the complete races from Leicester this morning instead of repeating Southwell and half of each Leicester race?
No, I didn’t think so. Useless.

January 30, 2014 at 00:14 #466492Monday 27th January
:
Sedgefield 2.10 – SP graphic shown before race instead of betting graphic. SP graphic replaced by betting graphic from Wolverhampton 2.20.

Leicester 4.40 – Betting graphic had no betting information.
....and you've got to look a long way back for anything else.
February 21, 2014 at 18:32 #468672Have the suits at ATR finally seen the light and listened to their viewers for a change?
The Racing Review now has an additional slot after the repetitive Racing News at 11.00am. There may be some flexibility in the schedules as although scheduled to begin at 11.15 (according to the online TV Schedule) actually started at 11.30 as there was only Wolverhampton to show in this slot.
While the 41 minutes for each slot is still not long enough for some NH meetings, this has to be good news and will hopefully substantially reduce the number of NH meetings having to have their races edited to fit into the available slots.
Well done ATR!
Hopefully this is a permanent arrangement, but presumably, come mid-November, the 11.15 slot may disappear for the earlier winter starts to live racing.
Can anyone "in the know" comment on the reasons behind this change of heart by the ATR executives?

February 21, 2014 at 23:37 #468719I’ve noticed occasionally ATR will show a review of the day’s racing while there’s a gap in their oh so exciting US racing coverage. Are there any statistics showing is remotely interested in the majority of American racing, not to mention Australia?
February 22, 2014 at 11:18 #468783Yes they do, but it’s not really a proper review. It’s never scheduled and usually doesn’t have betting or sp graphics, unless you count those annoying little window sp graphics.
Still, better than the live american stuff and useful if the live coverage has been spoilt by split screens or crawlers.
Forgot to mention, the extra 11.15/11.30 review slot doesn’t apply to the weekend, so we probably won’t get a full review from any of today’s NH meetings on Sunday morning.
As the Chepstow races are scheduled to go off only 5 minutes before Fairyhouse expect lots of split screens this afternoon!
