I have run a poll because I’m not sure if there will be enough interest, but with the Ashes starting next Wednesday, i thought it might add to the fun to have a friendly comp for the five test matches.
Anyone can enter, it’s really simple all you would have to do is spread out 200 points per match in anyway you liked into an England win, Australia win plus the draw.
Example –
England 100
Australia 52
Draw 48If the match ended in a draw you would score 48.
You are also allowed to pick any one player per match who will also score points.
Player points as followed
Batting 1 run = 1 point
Bowling 1 wicket = 20 points
fielding 1 catch =10 pointsAfter the five tests the winner will be the person who has scored the most points.
edit’ change day of start first test.

CrizzyJuly 5, 2009 at 14:31 #237940Good idea Nathan, I’ll give it a bash
Much swotting on Cricinfo required methinks, having had only the C5 highlights as my tutor since the TCB sold out to Murdoch
Is this the first Test Match to have been played at Sophia Gardens?
July 5, 2009 at 23:50 #238024Following on from the pointless expansion of the Test circuit to include Chester-le-Street, this is indeed the newest English Test venue.
Although I think the Glamorgan authorities would prefer you to call it The Swalec Stadium, whilst the ECB like to use ‘Cardiff Stadium’.
Its Sophia Gardens, as far as I’m concerned.
