    A nice sunny morning.

For those of you reading this wearing a jacket and tie the going is officially good to firm although with a good covering of grass any sting will be taken out of the ground.

For the riff-raff who are slovenly dressed – the going is heavy with standing water.

On a more serious note anyone who is coming here and planning to use the M25 I would suggest get your ass in gear and set off soon. The stretch between the M1 and M40 is crawling and I believe coming from the South East it is just as nasty from J8 to J10.

The ground is interesting, it certainly is on the firm side of good but with the lush layer of grass it should have plenty of bounce.

I have to say if I fancied a runner who has the word "soft" anywhere in its preferred going I would be worried.

So all the constant Viagra adverts should be cast aside then?
