Tataniano’s Arkle participation has surely been in some doubt ever since he appeared in the Grand Annual decs. I fail therefore to see why this is such a big surprise, or that Nicholls/Stewart are in anyway being unfair to punters.
You are having a laugh Grass! Both Nicholls and Stewart are quoted on numerous occassions as saying Tataniano is there Arkle horse for 2010! Numerous occassions! I did have a saver on him, just to protect my interest in
Somersby
! My first bet of the festival will be going in single handedly now!Still my banker of the meeting! I will bet Tataniano in the Grand annual if he runs mind!

To be fair, Gord, the list of horses you
haven’t
apparently backed ante-post, could be printed on the back of an atom in very large font, so you were always likely to run into a hard-luck story or two.

You are getting off very lightly! Celestial v Hurricane fly! Mikael, Arkle v RSA, and now Solwhit v Go Native looks void! You were lucky we didn"t have Long Run, Arkle v RSA as you would have lost again!

You know when you get that feeling, someone has to break the mould and go against the grain even though they don’t believe in what they’re saying or have no interest in the race.
March 10, 2010 at 20:50 #281547Anyone got any idea if Mad Max is going to run here? I know that he’s still in the decs, and he’s a horse I really like. Don’t know much about Riverside Theatre, but I wouldn’t be suprised if Mad Max beats him home. This horse has a similar sort of prep as Tidal Bay in that he fluffed his lines in his warm up for this at Doncaster. He’s always been highly thought of and think he’s a certainty e/w.
Of course I have my knife and fork ready for my humble pie
March 10, 2010 at 20:52 #281549Anyone who backed him after Newbury needs their heads examining anyway. Hardly a surprise.

March 10, 2010 at 21:01 #281554Ruby on Sports Line….fantastic news even though not surprising.
Nice of Paul to keep us informed about Tatatanio plans or however you spell it.
March 10, 2010 at 21:04 #281555Is Townend on Shakerville?

the other horse called Quiscover Fontaine wouldn’t go without a chance either and will be partnered by Emmet Mullins i would think

On lines through Solwhit and Go Native, Celestial Halo wouldn’t be able to put a glove on Hurricane Fly. As for Mikael, you were the one sweating for 6 months – whilst I remained my usual, cucumberesque self.
Did we have something on Solwhit and Go Native? If we did, I am more than happy to let that run, should Mr Byrnes consider him fit enough to take part.

March 10, 2010 at 21:47 #281571TAPK, thank God both our horses have come this far uninjured, and let’s hope they make it to the post both at 100%!
Good Cee Bee
March 10, 2010 at 22:33 #281582Does anyone know if Kangaroo Court is still running or are they waiting to see how the ground is on Tuesday?

As we know nothing is a definite runner but you would expect him to take his chance unless they go mad with the watering.
I think he will outrun his price but given clear rounds will be hard pressed to challenge Captain Cee Bee and Somersby.
March 10, 2010 at 23:52 #281590Somersby is fast becoming the worst priced horse at the festival. Has done absolutely bugger all compared to his main rivals.

Im not sure Moe but reckon if the ground is good or better he’ll have a cracking chance. Have already got Osana in my side but was (and still am) looking at Kangaroo Court and Woolcombe Folly.
Personally if the ground is good or better I’d make Somersby the favorite but I think he’d be very pace dependant and on that surface Kangaroo court would probably tick more boxes for me than anything else.
