Any good breeding primers?

I’ve decided to delve into the murky waters of breeding analysis.

Does anyone have any suggestions for books that set out conventional and unconventional theories with regard to breeding?

Also, are there any good scientific papers that anyone has links for?

Tessio, the genius himself. There are some great books written about his theories and practice. Theres also a guy called Clive in NZ, cant remember his Surname but ill find it out for you

The Gentleman in NZ is called Clive Harper, he wrote the history of thoroughbred breeding but I cant find it anywhere
