    Just seen footage of another punch up at Ascot yesterday.
    As someone who has been racing for over 30 years,it makes me both angry and sad that this now happening often on these themed race days.
    I feel for the flat racing enthusiasts who now have to put up with this every summer.
    At the moment I see none of this during the big jump meetings in the winter,but for how much longer??

    Probably won’t be long, especially given the puerile hyping up of England v Ireland in the pointless BetBright Cup.

    Only ever heard of one punch up when I used to go regular to NH meets throughout the 90s. But that was a vicious attack on the ring inspector(Gerry) by thugs at Ludlow after the last race.
    Was always plenty of drinking going on but never any pissed up morons fighting.
