June 16, 2002 at 21:05 #99716FROM THE RP SITE!!!!!!!
Amelia, leased to the 20-strong https://www.theracingforum.co.uk by trainer John Cullinan for the year, notched her first win for her enthusiastic bunch of leasees when taking the six-furlong fillies’ handicap under Matthew Henry.

A spokesman for the website group, said: “John’s a brilliant trainer and it’s a great thrill to see Amelia win for us. Our website is an on-line forum for racing enthusiasts, and as you can imagine we’ve been very busy recently with all the mail generated by the Kenyon programme on TV.â€ÂÂ

June 16, 2002 at 22:49 #99723Well done everyone involved was a buzz to see Amelia winning today! I enjoyed it and I’m sure all of you did, it’s great to see the positive side of racing and feel that there is a chance for everyone to be involved not just Coolmore etc.
June 17, 2002 at 09:08 #99726I must say what a pleasure it’s been to be involved with the Forum syndicate, and what fun we’ve had at John’s yard and at the races.
That’s essentially what we bought into, and to actually watch her absolutely blitz a big field was amazing – I genuinely thought she would win the minute the gates opened, but the dawning of the fact that our horse was a winner as we ran down to the winners enclosure was like a waking dream.
Leicester were marvellous and showed us a great time, and the people there were a considerably more friendly and well behaved bunch than those at Epsom (especially the lady who grabbed Kathy and said "ee, didn’t your little horse run fast?") ).
Great, great day – more please!!

June 18, 2002 at 06:47 #99739I hope you all had a fabulous day and i know the "buzz" will last for weeks
Over the months(Years) when i first "met" Daylight and LRM and Kathy and the other members, i never thought you would race a horse. with Kathy seemingly upset about previous horses she had been in and how to DL and LRM horse ownership seemed a bit of a dream and its just so great that you won with Amelia, i enjoy reading all the posts about her.
your trainer steered you in the right direction with a horse that had some ability which she showed at 2 and could always find again.
and i know being in a syndicate with friends and having the day out and running well is the most that can really be expected and that the win is the icing on the cake.
Well done for all the good choices you made and good on the people who were prepared to take the gamble with you.
regards diana.
