A few years back i was at Aintree and there was a sure thing about to race, the odds were at about 5/8 so naturally everyone uses this to make a quick couple of bucks, and it cam in first and all were happy.
However the guy behind us was celebrating like mad, but why? he didnt look particularly rich enough to have put major money down to make big money, just a working class scouser. It turns out that he had made a £50 bet about 4 months in advance when the odds were at about 100-1 due to uncertainties of the horse actually racing and when other horses were suppose to race.
Now that is doing you research, does anyone else know of a story like this?
