Gerri Colombe scratched so covered Journey With Me 12s for this in case they switch.
February 16, 2022 at 17:33 #1583501Bet Mr Fred Rogers here. Really like him, and for all I’ve bet him for Martin Pipe, I’d like him covered here too.
Mr Fred Rogers 25’s NRNB
February 16, 2022 at 22:24 #1583545I’ve put some money on Shantreusse earlier this year. Tomorrow they (Mr Fred Rogers and Shantreusse) will face each other at Clonmel. Obviously hoping for a big run!
Shantreusse 50/1 EW
March 9, 2022 at 16:48 #1586269Minella crooner out of the festival
March 9, 2022 at 19:12 #1586286Ginto might hopefully go for this now.
March 9, 2022 at 19:21 #1586292I highly doubt that the reason ginto didnt go for this (if it where his #1 target) is because minella crooner was in the race
If that where the case then ill know ginto isnt the horse i think he is in the ballymore if hes playing second fiddle to MC
Seems highly unlikely to me, we will know in about 2 hours
March 9, 2022 at 19:33 #1586298Don’t think it was a ‘second fiddle’ situation ham. Elliott must’ve thought Ginto had a bit more pace than Crooner so split them so Crooner went to the Bartlett. With Crooner out, Elliott might decide to give Ginto’s owners a better chance of a winner at the Festival by going for this now, rather than potentially taking the harder task of trying to beat Sir Gerhard (and others).
March 9, 2022 at 21:39 #1586305I don’t think that will happen because Hollow Games is in as well for the same trainer and owners. And Hollow Games looked ‘the slower’ of the two.
March 9, 2022 at 22:03 #1586307Hollow Games may go to the Martin Pipe.
March 9, 2022 at 22:04 #1586308No mike, gintos the better horse of the two, with the bigger owners, theyd send him to the race hed have the best chance of winning, and crooner would have went to the other, absolutely no doubt about that.
There strongly considering this race now which is amazing to me, considering his comments the other night about ginto in regards to the ballymore and how much hed be better with a lead etc, i cant for the life of me see him coming here. Still even after they just said this tonight
Dbr- hollow games to the MP apparantly there saying just now at the preview, he hasnt a prayer in the MP he will get lapped off 143, 0 chance, seems bizarre
March 10, 2022 at 04:18 #1586322“No mike, gintos the better horse of the two”
I never said he wasn’t. :o)
March 10, 2022 at 16:13 #1586373I know, what i meant by that was, the better horses target gets picked first, clearly, the fact hes going to the AB now because MC is injured tells me alot about what they think of ginto lol
Hes confirmed for here, so now i guess im a ginto layer, rather than a backer, 2/1? Not a chance lol
March 10, 2022 at 16:46 #1586375DOnt think I’ve ever picked the winner in this race, might look through some of the past years winners later and try find an outsider to play ew if the outsiders have a decent record in this
March 10, 2022 at 18:14 #1586385I managed a few quid on Hillcrest at 20’s ages ago so sitting pretty although I wouldn’t want to back him at 3’s
for a start he is not IrishGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
March 17, 2022 at 20:39 #1588316Nathan, I wish you the best of luck with your 20-1. I have taken Green Book 50-1 ew 5 pls + Bardenstown lad for the win at 20-1
March 17, 2022 at 23:23 #1588353I like Green Book as well, but not a race I go mad in, and I’ll settle for Falcon Eight here. Improved last time (had to), and he might just have some more to offer.
Falcon Eight 25’s EW 5pls
March 18, 2022 at 00:14 #1588366I like DBR’s Shantreusse bet but missed the price so will try half a million pounds’ worth of gelding trying to earn some of his purchase price back:
Classic Getaway 25-1 ew 5pl b365
I’ll look about backing Minella Cocooner as well to try doing a junior Flooring Porter from the front. If Townend gets the £50k bonus for the stable staff they’ll probably let him have the nice mug when it’s tea time at the yard.
