    Hi All,

I’m fairly new to the forum and really enjoyed all
the various threads and banter surrounding Cheltenham
this year (had my best total ever of 6 winners).

I notice there doesn’t really seem to be much interest
in Aintree (National aside). Is this always the way?

I’ll be making my annual visit to Liverpool next week and wonder if any of you have any nuggets to share?

    Keep up the good work!

    Soap.

Souffleur will win and I think to bet both Big Fella Thanks ( who I bet last year at 50`s early ) and Mon Mome at todays price ,takes two very likely first three places out in the GN.

Also keep an eye out for Super Kenny which is reported to be Hendersons best four year old!!
Which when you consider he won the Triumph Hurdle with something else could be a good thing should it turn up at Aintree!!

    Thanks Guy’s… Noted.

Nothing will repeat my success of last year
£2 e/w on Mon Mome and then £40w on Culcabok
in the next at 66/1!! Couldnt believe the horse
    came in at that price.

I might put Wishful Thinking in a double with
Foundation and stick my house on it : )

However, as soon as I can see the decs I will def be partaking of the Aintree chitchat.

I’m a massivo fan of this meeting and I think the quality of the races as a whole now surpass Chelters.

    Can’t wait.

    Ps,
Big Fella No Thanks cannot win the National – does it not have more weight than last year, when it was 6th!?

BFT carried 11.1 last year; he’s got 10.12 at the moment if the weights don’t go up. Also a year older and stronger.

Ran off 11st2lbs last year, off 10st13lbs this year.

I can’t have it winning but not for weight reasons

Ahh, thanks for updating me on the weight of BFT.

I still couldn’t back him after last year – he was beaten too easily and will surely find a few too good again.

The "a year older and stronger" bit is not nearly enough incentive for me.

watch out for Escort Men in the 4yo hurdle, the Nicholls horse that bolted up in fast time at Kempton at a big price. Will be far shorter at Aintree, but sets a very high standard.
