Wick Academy snatched victory against Clach in the Scottish Cup 1st round, courtesy of a last gasp winner from Gary Weir.
Weir, out of the starting line up recently after struggling to find form, had put Wick ahead after only 3 minutes but Clach eqalised to level before half time. Bt, for the second week in a row, Wick dealt their Inverness based rivals a bitter blow in injury time and, after last week’s goal earned a replay, this week’s go was enough to take the Scorries through.
Next up in the Cup is an away tie at Girvan. The Cup dream lives on!
