Take a bow oh my god that is the biggest achievement any trainer has ever done world wide dear lord 1-2-3 in the Arc! i had highland reel E/W but that don’t matter Well Done!
Not to mention a Galileo 1-2-3 so glad to be living in his era!October 2, 2016 at 15:42 #1265451Yet another brilliant training performance
October 2, 2016 at 15:53 #1265454Fabulous training performance
October 2, 2016 at 16:00 #1265457Amazing achievment by a genius, surely the greatest trainer ever. On a line thru Order of St George, wicklow Brave would have been 2nd, + Faugheen would have won by 10 lengths
October 2, 2016 at 17:44 #1265463And Annie Power would have been thereabouts too.

Pace matters.
Order Of St George was held up in a slowly run race last time, therefore better than result when beaten by Wicklowe Brave. Wicklowe Brave went from the front that day and flattered by the result.Value Is EverythingOctober 2, 2016 at 20:34 #1265474Fantastic feat, definitely, but greatest training accomplishment ever? Michael Dickinson says hello.
October 2, 2016 at 21:00 #1265478I would say Its a bit harder to get a 1-2-3 in an Arc than it would to get 1-2-3-4-5 in the Gold Cup but that’s me!
No offence to the man but you could say that was a fluke.. you could say that to a …Breeders cup / Ascot Gold Cup /King George7 group one races between them before today Ummmmmmmmm
We all know this will go down as the greatest achievement of a trainer of all time no matter how hard you Jumpers don’t like it get used to it!
October 2, 2016 at 21:34 #1265487A quite remarkable feat even for a guy who sets standards in racing. Found had all the right conditions today and when she gets that she is a top filly. Highland reel ran a stormer after so many top races and who knows how order of st George would have done with a better draw. All three seemed to cope with the surface really well and if the track record went it shows how good the front three ran. Very interesting to see how the race is rated but this is surely the best runs from at least the front two.
October 2, 2016 at 21:59 #12654891-2-3 in the Arc to add to 1-2-3 in the 1000 Guineas, and in the same season. That is some record.
As is that all SIX of these are daughters/sons of Galileo. I am wracking the memory banks but I cannot remember anything like this.

I’d say that it’s considerably harder to get five horses fit and sound enough to even run in the Gold Cup than three to run in the Arc; the risk of injury and loss of form over the years is far greater for staying chasers than for relatively young flat horses.
Nobody is denigrating what O’Brien has done today- it’s unprecedented in flat racing- but it’s nowhere near the accomplishment of the Harewood team in 1983…. in my opinion.
October 2, 2016 at 23:10 #1265495Tremendous master stroke by O’Brien. Cannot see that being repeated in a very long time. Hats off to him!
October 2, 2016 at 23:32 #1265496Didn’t Dickinson train half the field?

I assume that you are aware that geldings are banned from the Arc, 12 furlongs is different to 14 furlongs, and Ryan Moore did not cover himself in glory with the way he rode an out and out stayer in the Irish St Leger.
Saying that, Dettori gave OSG a peach of a ride from the wide stall. Seamie Hefferenan also once again proved his worth to Ballydoyle with a very good ride on Highland Reel.
As for Faugheen , big difference between racing against National Hunt type horses and proper 12 f specialists of the flat

I do not really think anyone would utter that word fluke, to be fair to them
Plenty of websites including this, was convinced that OSG should run at the Arc and that he could place; everyone knew that Found was kept in training for this and that 12f is her gig and that he was also worth a punt, and then Highland Reel has done little wrong at 12 f this season bar a jockey error at Royal Ascot.
Scary how well all three ran and with ease, that track did not look easy
October 3, 2016 at 10:02 #1265506Twice over We do have a lot of years knowledge about horse racing on this form if you read my comment again it was about the 1-2-3-4-5 in the Chelt Gold Cup cheers
