The topic has been “closed” for the time being as Ricky Lake intends taking legal action against individuals.

However, my conscience is clear and I’m certainly not going to lose any sleep over this.

Value Is EverythingDitto – if there was anything from anyone (not just me) on that thread that warrants legal action my Law degree was an even bigger waste of taxpayers money than I already thought it was and my years being mindful of libel law in journalism taught me nothing.
Can’t see anything criminal, can’t see any civil offences either.
Non-specific general predictions weren’t even directed specifically at him.
This is an offensive individual playing the legal card on a niche Internet forum with a relatively low audience (as opposed to a mass circulation newspaper) where he has never clearly identified himself anyway so it’s very hard to see what injury or loss he has sustained even if anyone had potentially injured him or potentially caused him to lose anything.
Which they haven’t.
Is anyone going to sue him because of all the emotional pain and suffering he has caused with his succession of offensive postings?
Evidently not so far – because there is more quality on this side of this particular fence.
This is a bully who bullies in the name of alleged “fun” who doesn’t like it when people stand up to him.
My only regret is the hassle it’s caused the good people who run this excellent free website.

May be someone he trusts – a Tank or CAS or Clive – might possibly have a quiet word with Ricky.
