See Gord Scotty is a fighter this guy holds a special place in my heart was my 1st ever winner in the golf at 45/1 in 2011 when he won at Bridgestone. had no money on him this week but happy to see him win after what happend at the open.

Any thoughts on the money on TELESCOPE and LIBER NAUTCUIS in last few weeks they must be catching pigeons at home

darren to be honest it never came down to a battle,

    Adam Scott

played solid Golf from the start,he was incredibly focused and his course management was superb,he was more like the Iceman than a Fiery Fighter,

    Angel Cabrera

on the other hand did battle,he had the competition won and then he blew it but to his credit he did battle back and come the Play off both players were inseperable, shame it ended after 2 holes as those 2 were like chalk and cheese in style but truly brilliant all the same.I think GDC backed the winner so well done to Gary!

I backed both Telescope & Liber Nauticus a few days after their Maiden wins.

Why? and what prices did you get ‘HorseWithNoName’?

Thanks I did indeed back Adam Scott, got to be honest he was my 3rd selection of 5 behind Matt Kuchar and the extremely disappointing Hunter Mahan, still always nice to get a decent priced winner :-)

I am on Mr Moss at 33s and Rival Destruval at 9s for the Jockanese National on Saturday, fancy anything?

    I like

    Godsmejudge

Gary but I wont be going overboard.
    I’m hoping both

    Letir Mor

    and

    Olympic glory

turn up for the Greenham for obvious reasons!

    I did see

    Indian Chiefs

imposing victory today darren but it was expected,it only proves that

    Loch Garmon

is a serious horse but funnily enough Jim rates my Derby horse

    Trading Leather

    higher. 8)

    Having looked forward to backing

    Captain Bertie

for a repeat victory in this weekends Spring Cup,I wish I hadn’t noticed the likes of

    Global Village

    and

    Educate

both holding their ground,it really is a wide open renewal. The latter pair both stand out on Doncaster form.

Well I have spent a good 4 hours today going through this years Oaks field compared to 4 minutes for The Derby which is between Jims 2

    Dawn Approach

    at 12/1 and

    Trading Leather

at 33/1,sorted! The Oaks is a wide open event as there’s nothing with Group 1 form and Stamina that ticks the appropriate boxes,if I had to stick a grand on to win only now it would have to be

    Liber Nauticus

as she has the potential to be a Group filly who will thrive on a trip but I have to consider Trainers stats,Owners stats and Breeding on these unexposed sorts,I like a once raced maiden who’s won and who comes from a staying family when I’m looking at this particular race,a filly with a bit of size and bags of scope and of course at this stage I expect a healthy double figure price.I have found a filly who ticks plenty of boxes and who comes from the right side of town, that filly is Henry Cecils

    Hot Snap

    ,her dam

    Midsummer

just about got a 11/2m but was trained like an Oaks filly, unfortunately her career was cut short but she did come from a staying family.

    Pivotal

isn’t a sire you would associate with a staying sort but I believe his influence adds that touch of speed you want in a filly who like Jonibake says in his thread could be a 1000gns sort,40/1 is big but I dont see her as a miler at all I believe that Kempton 1m maiden she won confirmed even then that she was crying out for further, why she is running over 7f tomorrow surprises me as she clearly got outpaced as a 2yo before her stamina kicked in at the furlong pole,No I see this filly as an Oaks sort and have backed her for it.

    Hot Snap

    £100 e/w 25/1 Stan James Oaks.

Gord the derby not between the bolger horses you should not forget my MARS and TELESCOPE or a dark horse like OCOVANGO. and am sure others come out the woodwork as well like EYE OF THE STORM who flew home when it was too late at Newmarket and be better at 3. and many more horses too.

Also gord any thoughts on newmarket this week and i see BONFIRE return this week how you think he do this year he been gelded i heard and will race at 1m2 races too.

Gord: hope you haven’t messed up and not backed Hot Snap today? Got some 14s this morning but I am smiling from ear to ear as I borrowed some of your foresight and have backed her to win today and the Guineas at 100s and today and Oaks at 125s both with laddies :-)

Not wanting to blow my own trumpet but Gord borrowed that foersight from me on the 28th March!

I have to say that although I backed her today and for the Guineas yesterday I too was initially scratching my head as to what Henry was doing. But you REALLY have to take note when that man does something left field because he SO RARELY does it. At halfway I thought she might finish last so she clearly IS going to be better over further. The question is how MUCH further. If you are talking Oaks you would be worried that they were already speaking about the Coronation after a possible tilt at the Guineas.

For me she moved so fluently that I would not rule out the Oaks. The stamina is there in the pedigree. But Gord could it be Frankel all over again?!! Will she or won’t she?!! How LIVID will you be if she turns out to be JUST a miler!!! Joni  Gord  Joni  Gord  Joni  Gord!!!!

This is a typical example of taking the opportunity to say "Of course I backed

    Hot Snap

at 16’s on the machine for todays Nell Gwyn" as it would be pretty easy to say so, having written all that about her yesterday.Trouble is I didn’t have a penny on her today and worse still I didn’t have a penny on her for the Guineas either!        Excuse me a moment!

    What a stupid Fu*k*n Fu*kwit,T*atty stupid ****** dozy ****** idiot I am

Well done Gary,as I went through the Oaks field yesterday I noticed the 125/1 about her winning today and the Oaks too,I was tempted to put it up just to show Ginge that TAPK can put up 100+/1 winners too,I was only going to shove a tenner on as I really like the filly and the price was just too big!

    Hot Snap

will win the 1000 gns and she will get the 11/2m of the Oaks stood on her head, she was clearly outpaced today up to the furlong pole then she took off and wasn’t stopping, after she does the business at HQ,History tells us she’s Epsom bound so I’m not worried about these Coronation Stakes quotes, she’s a bit special!

I’m still a F***** Prick and a half though for not backing her today

On a line through ‘Sky Lantern’ she has absolutely nothing to find with ‘Certify’ Horse,She has far more scope than the Godolphin filly too.No I saw enough today to tell me this filly is a reincarnation of

    Diminuendo

    ,remember her?

Tomorrow sees an intriguing little rematch between

    Toronado

    and

    Dundonell

in the Craven stakes,a race recognised as a serious Guineas trial,on these revised terms you would expect the latter to come out on top,I’m not really bothered who wins so long as they finish within a length of each other, that would confirm a pretty much the same amount of improvement over the winter from both.My assessment of both is ‘Toronado’ is a gritty determined front runner who will battle, whereas ‘Dundonell’ is a bridle horse who wont, that tells you who I’d still be on to win again!
