Has not seen a rival in front three races.
Visor on and steps up in trip.

    5pm Clomel

    MALINAS GLORY
Was well clear of the useful Scott Lang when losing out in a finish with lieutenant highway for Gordon Elliott and has done little wrong in three recent runs.

    ITWASFATE
Fell late on under Rachael Blackmore and her place goes to a claimer taking off four pounds.
Difficult to look beyond these two and if they stay up can be fighting it out at the end.

    Reverse forecast
    MALINAS GLORY/ITWASFATE

Marginal preference going to MALINAS GLORY win.

    OASIS PRINCE
    Each way
Has not won since 2yo days but a win was in June then and signs of coming to hand with a second and third last two runs including last time when…
“led, soon headed and tracked leader, going okay when shaken up to lead over 3f out, driven and kept on strongly from 2f out, headed inside final furlong, ran on” stronger race here but won a class two off a mark of 91 rated high 70s now.

    COTTIE
    Win
    Clomel
Form regally franked in last race by horse well beaten winning the opener.
COTTIE runs off same mark as in last race a maiden hurdle for this handicap run. Henry De Bromhead’s runner likely to go very close as lots of collaborative form from other runners in recent days.

    BLIND BEGGAR
    BIG GOOSEY
    Both win

    On Wednesday…..
Screen Siren and collective power got first run on blind beggar who with trouble in running appeared stopped twice in the last furlong.
Got up and would have been over the top in another stride. Finished very strongly.
Horses he has raced against have been going well including only spoofing and collective power who had finished behind. Only spoofing again winning in Scotland recently.

    Second and third.
For blind beggar and big gosssey.
Three seconds but one of the best winners of the day as
    VALIANT PRINCE strolled home.

A hard second day for the thread but plenty of positives.
A winner on the soul selection which might have gone in on here.
A soul selection type choice is running in the next at Aintree.

    GO ON CHEZ
    Win
    Aintree 7.13
Gats and co has scratched to avoid this runner who is on a six timer having won a point before embarking on a quick fire run of four chase wins. Still well treated and looks likely to continue his run in this small field receiving weight.
On another day with another look I am hoping to identify some big priced qualifiers.
    They will come.
Mark Usher went in today, one day after I highlighted him as a trainer to follow.
He highlighted his runner in the opener as well on Twitter as worth backing and I missed his 66/1 winner.

Placed into an ordinary maiden race here by Willie Mullins.
Down the field in a listed maiden in France untried here over fences and probably useful

    WICKLOW FLYER
    WILLYOUWALKWITHME
    Both win
Wicklow flyer a shadow of the horse who easily won a maiden by 16 lengths and has had a long absence since pulling up having lost a shoe and been struck into last run over hurdles.
This looks winnable with uncle Gerhard a non starter.
Wilkyoywalkwithme just a neck down when last seen and can go close here..

    Bath 2.25
    ROYAL ACLAIM
    Win
Not seen in over a year since beating perfect power and Robasta. Perfect power turned out to top drawer.
Royal Acclaim entered up for decent races and if potential to be realised needs to win here.

    Downpatrick
    Nuttorridge
    Inchidy copper
    Both win

Nuttorridges impeccable record at Downpatrick blotted when brought down Early last time.
But spot on otherwise and looks hard to oppose.
Inchidy won three points on the bounce

    WIN
Good record on this track and continuing on the upgrade.
Runs off bottom weight of the four and will be very hard to beat with the inform Brian Hughes up for the first time.

    ARRYCAN
    Win
Ten runs ago RDF was winning off a mark of 148 for Willie Mullins.
Would win easily if retaining ability.
Arrycan returns after three hurdle runs and is much better chasing.

    NA CAITH TOBAC
Won his beginners chase over course and distance last month and was a long way clear of the rival he faces again today.
Sets off on a handicap mark several pounds lower than his winning hurdles mark.

    Na Caith Tobac
    Win.
Na Caith Tobac to win by 5 lengths or more.

    ALESSANDRO VALGARDI
    Small win
Looked a likely future winner at a higher level when running away with a maiden last year. Jason the militant has scratched and he was fancied strongly for this in many circles.
It is a big ask to defy a nine month absence against hardened handicappers, but Joseph O’Brien normally pitches his horses where he thinks they’ll go well.
