I attended a rather damp Edgbaston on Wednesday and have written up the experience on the blog.

But as an afterthought, I started to wonder which music would be most appropriate for each England batsman to walk out to. I came up with the following:

Alistair Cook: ‘This Charming Man’ (The Smiths)
Matt Prior: ‘Hand In Glove’ (also The Smiths)
Ian Bell: ‘Hi-ho, Hi-ho, Its off to work we go’ (Disney)
    KP: ‘Money’ (The Beatles)
James Anderson: ‘Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now’ (The Smiths)
Andrew Flintoff: ‘Cigarettes and Alcohol’ (Oasis)

    Any other suggestions?

    Ah yes. An excellent choice.
