I didn’t write it Sam. We don’t get paid to write it, we get paid (not very much) to post it.
I get that the content isn’t it what some of us would agree with or write ourselves and that bookies ads or links may be unpalatable to some but it is what pays for the site and what keeps it free for everyone to, hopefully, enjoy.May 9, 2020 at 12:30 #1487990I’ve made an adjustment to that sentence SportingSam

Then why post it?
Gambling firm Betway hit with record £11.6m fine for accepting stolen money.
This was in the headlines in the broadsheets and the racing press and on numerous racing forums during the Cheltenham festival.
Considering a mug punter is not allowed £6 on a 10/1 shot. It speaks volumes for their priorities and standpoint.
The report makes truly grim reading. The actual amount fed through this firm is not calculated, nor could it be as they are “self regulating”.Hitherto, I had not said I found the bookies ads on here unpalatable.
I do not.
Having done some research I do find some bookmakers unpalatable, but they pay for their glossy ad and it is reputable and conforms to regulated advertising standards.
But the other ad which you invited forumites to comment on, on the home page is a different kettle of fish.
The implication it makes is clear and misleading, hence my post. - AuthorPosts
